bcbs black Wednesday - NYC

It sucks because the guy who owns the place is a very nice dude, but you're right. I just can't justify niceness with constantly overpaying for things.

 

Chelsea WF only has regular and barleywine - Ben the beer buyer has no idea if they're getting coffee or Vanilla. Said the order was placed but no word on if it will come in.

 

Yeah, Ben's awesome. He suspects they're not getting the coffee or the vanilla (this was Monday) which definitely peeved him a bit.

He always has a ton a good shit there though. Him and the other guy, Bob, both love what they do and it's obvious. As someone else who makes his living in that business, I love that.

 

Yup, he did tell me they had some other good stuff in which I'm going to pick up tomorrow morning. Sucks about the Coffee though - this year's might be the best BCBCS yet.

 

Hoping that reg bcbs does last a little while..I haven't picked any up yet, as I've just been buying the variants when I can..the plan is to wait a few more weeks once all the hype has died down and buy a few 4pks

 

No coffee at Beer table

 

There is still a bit of coffee left at Astoria Bier and Cheese (Ditmars) for $7 but it is a one bottle limit.

 

They have all the variants on tap at arts and craft right now. There's not a lot of ppl right now.

 

I happened to pick up a bottle of Vanilla at my local Key Food this evening. So there's that.

 

I keep hoping something like this will happen to me, you must have some good beer karma going.

 

Did they have any other variations? Any chance of sharing where this was?

 

Same. I'll check random supermarkets and bodegas occasionally but never see anything.

 

stopped in this evening for some growler fills of BA BQE & Gorilla Warfare..getting anther coffee was a nice bonus!

 

That BA BQE fix made my day. Love that beer. I was told both Bway and Ditmars locations did get Vanilla but they sold out in 45 mins and 2hrs respectively. But yes, another bottle of bcbcs was sweet indeed.

 

I actually got the last bottle of vanilla at ABC Broadway on Sunday. They said they got it on Saturday so it didn't sell out that quickly because it was behind the counter

 

Could be. I was just listening to Ditmars staff chatting among themselves while sipping on BA BQE. The good thing is Vanilla did hit Queens. The bad thing it is already sold out at the usual suspects.

 

BA BQE sounds great- but is it worth the $21 for 32oz growler? I can almost grab a 4 pack of BCBS for that px

 

It does not have to be a growler. You could simply get a 10oz pour for $7. I think it's worth it. It's a great beer and it's one of our own in Queens. One of the best local beers I had this year.

 

Not even remotely close to regular BCBS lets not kid ourselves.
