Black Friday In Texas

i've been going there for wednesday night trivia for like 3 years now and have never once interacted with a single person behind the bar who knew the first thing about beer. more often than not, i have to physically describe the tap handle of the beer i want. and i dont think they clean their lines very well. regularly get funky tasting beers.

 

They did and they were both gone about 4:45 today. However, Vanilla was delicious. They were charging $30 a bottle, including tax. They also had/have coffee and barleywine as well

 

Oh. I see. You think I care that it's gone and think I was planning on going to that establishment.

Nope....nope. nope. nope.

More just wanted to see what people thought about TAPS ON WASHINGTON getting 2 cases of Vanilla Rye. That's close to 15% of all the VR that has dropped in Houston so far to my knowledge (although I have no doubt theres more coming)...

My regular and coffee bottles both say 2013???? Why is that? (I know the obvious answer )

Specs Dezavala, Total Wines, and a few others got coffee / vanilla too... I failed hard on the vanila, managed to get 2 bottles of coffee...

Of all the good beer bars in Houston, the House of "Brahs" gets 2 cases of VR? even that still couldn't get me back into that place...

Word is that SED still has cases of VR that will be delivered by week's end. Not to Hou HEB's though. Wasn't in their system. Already in WF system. Who knows where it will end up...my bet is mostly to bars/restaurants. Fuck complaining tho. Its just beer.

Well, I'm off on Friday, so if anyone hears of coffee or vanilla hitting again up north, let me know.

In Round Rock, 3 HEBs and the Specs all got it already, so I dont know if they'll get any more, but hoping. I give 0 fux about regular or barleywine (have plenty left over from last year)

 

If the beer gods quit fucking with me, I'll see what I can get ya.
