    Solution(s):

    1. Stop brewing & bottling so much of a fucking beer nobody wants (& then subsequently forcing people to purchase it by coupling it with beers they clearly know are far more desirable to a much larger populous). I understand some people might like Simcoe Sillier. That's great. Bottle that shit & sell it at the pub in six packs alone.

    2. Don't have a bottle release.

This is just an atypical practice that the user base, from various platforms, seems to be unhappy with. Not that breweries can't do what THEY want, but they specifically mentioned this was based on "user feedback", none of which I've seen or heard that's been in support.

I just don't get why I can't choose to buy the beers I want to buy? They could ell 4-packs of BB4D for 40$ and I even at the elevated price, I'm sure most people would prefer that to the current process of pre-defined mix six packs, which end up being in the range of ~35$ anyway.

When Bell's released Black Note this year, I don't remember having to match it 1:1 with Wheat Love.

Maybe. And if that were the case why have a bottle release at all? F it. Release it whenever. Let the solstice party be a party. They have had a few bottle releases this year that have gone smoothly. But the b.s. about the Solstice release being improved based on customer feedback is nonsense. What customers want a bigger hassle for less options?

Agreed. Who decides what goes into bottles? There is some great stuff on tap that never see bottling yet we get Devil and Mr. Jones or whatever. I don't mind S.Sillier... but why isn't Creme Brulee or DRIPA an option?
Anything else people want to see bottled?

I wish they would make a couple six packs of 2-3 of similar types of beer so I can focus on stouts & darker ales

I think they did release Creme Brulee in bottles once, but it didn't hold up well in the bottles if I remember correctly.

Why? Were people aging it for years? No wonder.
If it was something else why give up on it? Great beer, people like it, many other breweries bottle similar styled brews.

It wasn't going bad due to long term aging. I don't really remember what the reason was, maybe @LiquidTable can shine some light on that.

Likely something to do with unwanted/unintended bacteria or otherwise detrimental microcosms introduced from the adjuncts. I believe this is similar to the reason Short's had some bottling issues with many of their beers at first, as well as the reason they can't/won't bottle Pistachio Crème Ale, etc. I believe the Bruery attributed a batch of sour Cacaonut to this issue as well, from the coconut shavings.

Odd. No issues from kegging. Bottling introducing anything different?

I found myself with three bottles of Mud after I drank all of my 2-year Whiskey BA Stout.

@LiquidTable care to weigh in on any of this?

In hopes that this goes into some feedback statistics, I am not a fan and probably won't bother with the bottle release. Hope to see most of you Friday night.

Yea, last year was my first and last. Rolled in at 5:30am and was #73. Was buying the full allotment which was roughly a $500 drop. Finally get to #73 and their out of the hottest bottles (French toast , etc) which was a piss off. Then I find out that full lots after my number got shit I didn't. Yea, I'm done.

^^^You weren't the only one that happened to Hendy-son. I went with a group and I got my full allotment, my buddy didn't, another person didn't, and then the two guys that came up after us while we were collecting our stuff got fulls. We asked WTF, they have a higher number and are getting a full, where's ours? They said some BS like, "Oh, there's must have been packed before yours, we can't break them up now." Huh?! I was ahead of them in line, give me their bottle, just take it out of their case and put it in mine. "Uhhh, nope."

Kuhnhenn is, without a doubt, the biggest clusterhump of a successful brewery I have ever seen. It's almost comical. They make a handful of good beers and meads and dozens of mediocre ones but everyone still lines up. No reason to change. They just sold $100k worth of bottles in one weekend. They are laughing at us complaining all the way to the bank.

I can't recall what number I was last year, but I was told they were sold out of a couple of items I wanted and like the fella above, people picking up at the same time but with higher numbers got the bottles and I didn't. I asked about it and they actually offered me one of the meads but I didn't want to be a dick and take it out of another guy's box who had just finished paying. I was pretty bummed out, but tried not to let it bother me.

Unless the mixed 6 is half BBBW and half BB4D, I'm going to pass on bottles this year and just enjoy the party.

Not a chance, I'm afraid. It'd be nice though.

I, and I'm sure many others here, would line up for that release.

To each their own. To me Kuhnhenn is like the Forrest Gump of the brewing. It is half the charm of the place.
