Yeah SNPA is really the only 6 pack that costs under 10 bucks around here. I usually go for Stone IPA or Little Sumpin Sumpin' sixes when I just want something to drink without putting too much effort into it.

What 6 pack is under 8 dollars? I cant think of one 6 pack in the Chicago area that is under 8 dollars. 8.99 is not 8 dollars but for that price I can get anything by Sierra Nevada and Revolution Anti Hero IPA.

Where the hell does everyone live that you can get quality craft under $8 ? In NJ sierra 6 packs are 8.99. The only cheap stuff you can find is things like saranac which usually isn't worth it. I feel that if your price shopping for your brew than maybe you should realign your priorities. I'm not saying that everything out there is worth it's price tag but i consider this an affordable hobby. Maybe switch to hard liquor if it's all about getting drunk but on my mediocre income I dont find myself complaining about pricing on anything.

    1. A new glarus 6-pack
    2. A different new glarus 6-pack
    3. A different different new glarus 6-pack
    4. Something from somewhere else to be named later

To be specific, NG Moon Man is my go to for the summer or when I want something cheap.

It's really hard in my neck of the woods to find a 6 pick for under $8, in fact damn near impossible, but I do enjoy Sierra Nevada Celebration at $8.50 a 6 pack.

It is a very long jump from trying to save a few bucks on beer to "it's all about getting drunk". My priorities are fine. I like to save a buck now and then. There are many pulls for my recreational dollars. How I chose to allocate them is my business.

As I post whenever this thread comes around (like every few months) some people seem not to understand that beer prices are a function of locality. What's inexpensive on the east coast may be pricey on the west coast and vice versa.

Additionally, price is also a function of production scale. That's why Sierra Nevada can pump out mega gallons of good beer and still sell it cheaper than your local brewpub's offerings.

So essentially, the question is irrelevant on an internet site that has participants from all over the world.

    Whatever is on sale.

My go-to is a 12-pack of Dales which I can usually find on sale for $15 or less (it kills me that some stores regularly sell the 12-packs for as much as $18). I feel that Deschutes is the best value around here (quality vs price) in 6-packs. Lagunitas, Stone and even local beers like Odell are all in the $9-$10 range.

Nothing half-decent is cheaper than $8.99 in Ohio ($9.66 after tax).

I can get most of everything in the price range here is WI (if I hit up the right store). New Glarus, Founders, Sierra Nevada, Lakefront, Central Waters...we have low beer taxes.

I'm pretty sure I've seen sixers of Great Lakes on sale for $7.99 at Mariano's.

Some of Trader Joe's beers are under $8.

Most Sierra Nevada and Lagunitas sixers are about $7.99 here, and i'm always reaching for them.

Yep, same here. I'm hoping when Stone is up and running in Richmond their IPA will be closer to $8 ($10 currently).

Pretty hard to find any craft 6 pack in Ohio for under $8. Sometimes you can catch a sale on the standard Great Lakes or Goose Island lineup for that.

Is it unrealistic of me to hope that Greg himself tosses sixers and bombers towards the masses atop a gargoyle float during a weekly parade?

If that's too much to ask for, I'll settle for <$8 Levitation.....
