Glad everyone made it safe. I know Vanilla Noir has a chance of infection. It I saw it was a want of your so I figured I would send it. The other bottles of it that I got at the same time were not infected. It's an awesome beer. Hopefully that bottle is good also. That BB Mayan Mocha is awesome. Odd Sides recent stouts have been top notch.

I "liked" your post just because you mentioned Ashleys

I'm just catching up on this thread from last night, and I don't think anyone mentioned that we hit 8000 posts last night...

I don't know if I'd say I'm part of a regular share or group per say. I have a few buddies who are equally big into craft beer like me and we just get together and drink when we're free. I'd say I'm really the only one who ever tries to plan anything by doing verticals, horizontals, or a planned bottle share. Killing a bomber by yourself is fun, but I like watching grown dudes act like giddy school girls when I pull something special out to share. (I was the same way last Saturday when my buddy opened that BVDL lol).

As for the OTL, keep it! It's one that's too good to trade away (unless the right trade came along). I have a bit of a ticker mentality, but for beers I really like, I'd rather drink them again with some age on it rather than trade it away. Trying new things is fun, but sometimes it's not worth sacrificing something you know and love for the unknown.

And I also have a BA Murderous I'd be happy to share with you. Sounds like we've got the makings of a pretty awesome bottle share in the making.

I'm pretty sure that if there's a group of you, and you share beers when you're together, and it's a fairly regular thing, then it's a regular bottle share group. If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck.... And I totally agree with you on the idea of keeping things to age rather than trading them for more ticks; as much of an obsessive ticker as I am, I don't feel like something needs to be ticked until it's in my hands.

Hahaha, you are totally right. I just went back and read that and it does pretty much sound like a drinking group. I guess I just don't see us that way, but yup that's pretty much what we are. So @mbmiche just let me know any time you want to drink some good beer with me.

Wait until it's been a bit over 3 years and you have over 4k checkins and over 3k uniques  Okay, okay, I've actually been on untappd for almost 4 years, but the first 8 months I didn't have a phone that could use the app and they didn't have a way to checkin from a computer, so I only had 23 checkins in those first 8 months so they don't count

Speaking of bottle shares....I am having my first one tomorrow night. All stouts. To me it is a pretty solid list of mostly ones that I have never had. I traded for a bunch of these or received them in BIF's. Now I want to share them with a couple buddies. They are bringing a couple easy to get stouts too. I hope I planned well enough. I will post the entire lot of empties here Sunday or Monday.

Sounds like a ton of fun man! You might consider adding some IPAs or sours though, as palette cleansers if nothing else. Even just 3 or 4 stouts in a row, and I know my palette is pretty dead to those flavors. At that point I could be drinking Guinness or Dark Lord for all the difference it makes.

A few months ago it was my favorite pale ale, it has now been overtaken by Alpine Hoppy Birthday.

This last bottle had a hint of greenish grassy flavor, didn't taste that when I had my first bottle.

Guys, I wanted to welcome @Louis121 to the group. He's a true newbie to the BA trading world and I want to help him get acclimated, so what better place to start? @UcDru if the Not Summer 6er round is still open, I'll have him send you his info to get included. I'm vouching for him, but I know I don't have to worry because he's a really good guy who will make his future targets very happy.

Welcome @Louis121 ! You're lucky Nick is getting you into trading using this format instead of the viper pit that is ISO:FT.

Awesome, any friend of Nick's is a friend of mine. Especially if his Not Summer Sixer is full of his avatar. He does know that as a newbie, this is required, right?

This. Scorpions are preferable to vipers every time.

Just be glad this thread is only 200, and not 550 pages long; like SWTFYW was when I joined that one with the same rules.
