In my area, I don't think there's a beer worth drinking that sells for less than $8.99 (regular price) a sixer.

The regular New Glarus beers are usually under eight bucks. Love Moon Man.

Costco here has cases of Stone IPA and lots of Sierra Nevada beers for approx. $22-$25 a case

I wouldn't say it's irrelevant. But it is certainly relative. And it's not only the production scale of the brewery but equally important the mark-up of the retailers. A big box store like Total Wine & More (and Costco obviously) can sell me the same beer cheaper than the independent bottle shops in my neighborhood. I'm not sure why BevMo can't compete with Total Wine when it comes to some of this stuff, but I find their prices to usually be a bit higher. BCBS was a perfect example. Got one 4-pack at Total Wine for 21.99, while BevMo was selling for $6 more.

Yeah for me in Delaware most stuff is in the $10 range. The cheapest I find is most Sierra Nevada goes for $8.99 and I found a six pack of Long Trail Limbo ipa for 8.99 that made me happy.

A lot of people saying New Glarus, and I have agree. Whenever I'm in Wisco, I pick up at least one sixer of Moon Man. It's always fresh and always excellent. Nothing in Chicago is under $8 unfortunately...

I do not know if you have a philosophic reason for not going to a chain. If you do not sign up for Total Wines email list. They send through 1 dollar coupons out on any six or 4 above 7.99. A lot of good beer can be had in the 8 to 10 normal or 7 to 9 dollar range with the coupon. If you are in slower lower DE then Nevermind.

As of right now, it has been Sixpoint Global Warmer.

Reverting back to mostly 6 packs, Sixpoint is killing it with their price point and recipes ($7.99 at my store). I buy them more than I have ever now.

Exactly. I wasn't quite sure what word to use there.

But the main point is, it doesn't do much good to ask about prices if the reason is to find inexpensive craft beer, since it's not uniform across the US of A.

Fremont six-packs if you buy them at the brewery. Plus I see Deschutes and Elysian 6-packs regularly $7.99 at Fred Meyer and Safeway.

I don't normally buy 6-packs, so I don't know. Most of the time, when I spring for a six-pack it is Flying Dog because it is cheap, fresh*, and local. To be honest, I'm not sure if we have any good six-packs for $8. However, I do think that Dead Rise might go for around that, so that would be mine. I will keep an eye out for good six-pack deals though.

*usually, since I prefer the seasonals/limiteds

Fremont's regular stuff is $9.99-10.99/sixer up here. Often Rite-Aid has the Deschutes stuff @$11-14/12pack "on sale", which is 90% of the time. And, now that FW isn't making the TJs brews, I may have to make a new adjustment on that point as well.
