Just buy that 1 bottle and then walk in wearing a hat. Instant twin, but a twin that enjoys hats.

I went to Cap N' Cork this Tuesday during my lunch break to get BCBCS. 1 bottle limit. On the way home, I had a co-worker follow and grab another for me.

Felt like a drug deal or something. Ridiculous, but you do what you gotta do lol

I boycott all the stores that sell BCBS by the bottle. Unless it's a Vanilla

I try to make IP trades as awkward as possible because for some reason I like doing it. "Meet me outside in the alley" when we are both there with bottles in hand in a tasting room. Nope, dark alley....good times. I did one IP trade from the trunk of my car, ah, the little things in life...

liquor store by me had 2 bottle limit of regular on black friday, I think they expected a large group of people. I slept in till 9, got dressed, and when I got there with the wife at around 9:30 we were the first people to purchase. they are 2 minute drive from the house, we went back every few hours until I had 4 four packs, nobody else had bought any. once I was happy with what I had I sent out texts to people I know who are semi craft beer fans, and they bought the rest over the next 2 days.

they also had some enjoy after's on the shelf that had a limit of 1, ended up buying 3 =)

They don't have food yet, but talked to one of the owners & he said they are planning on doing cheese & meat plates in the near future. I believe that was part of the reason for the delay in opening - obtaining a food service permit & the requirements associated with it. The tap list is a great variety, with some uncommon/unique selections you won't find most places nearby. Prices are reasonable, with full pours ~$6/7, & tasters $2/$3. Tasters are a great way to go there. Definitely worth checking out.

Haha love it. Want to set up an awkward IP where you trade me a Vanilla?

Went to Von's at Liberty Station and Point Loma and neither had it nor seemed to know what it was. Manager at Point Loma seemed mad for some reason like it wasn't supposed to be there.

I turned the tables on @SDReaper and made him come to MY trunk for a IP trade before :grinning:

That vanilla I have yet to find? Sure!

I honestly think it would be wrong if it was just a boring trade. Gotta spice things up a bit every now and then. Maybe next time, have an axe-wielding clown jump out from your trunk and hand over the beer. I can almost guarantee you that your trading buddy would never forget it and you would be a various story with his other beer friends.

It was still early in the day and you caught me by surprise (well done). I didn't have anything set up beforehand and now I feel bad.

I believe I'd have much rather met in an alley for the mystery of it all!

Next time we can do a trade in that little alcove behind Mr. K's. But we need code words like calling beer "the stuff" and "the money", that way it seems all gangster and shady.

Cool, but what did that put you out? Also, you're not craft loyal drinking BCBS lol

Haha. Group of 15-20 all put in on it. The person who purchased it paid upwards of $200 for a 5 gallon keg.

Managers at stores like this most likely have ZERO clue of what you are talking about.
