Square Bar near Kumas has Bramble and Coffee bottles for $18 according to their chalkboard right now. That's like what I paid for them off the shelf last year.

Yeah, maybe it was just the tapping of the unlimited supply they'll have from now on

Does that really happen, that a bar pulls a half-used keg to tap at a later date? Does it stay good, ie is the used beer replaced with air that would oxidize what's left?

Never ! All bars leave on a keg until it is gone..... at least in my experience that is how we did it for the last 20 years.cheers!

Well I can tell you that at Northdown yesterday they pulled kegs that were nowhere near tapped off, but they did have an hourly schedule and only like 8 taps so I guess they had to do what they had to do. My guess is that as other beers kicked later in the day they retapped the ones from the morning. That is

Bars that serve macro beers wouldn't pull kegs off until they are gone this is true. But, it would be pretty hard to do tap takeovers if you didn't pull kegs off and then put them back on later!

Bigby's is $12 for 9 oz. Have to pull their beer bar card. Complete rip-off. There are very few beers that should be over $1/oz on draft.

3 corners had it.. 11 for a 12oz pour.. lasted about a week. all you had to do was check beermenus to find that one out... it drank wonderfully fresh off the tap.. cheers!

Not sure if this is specific to Chi but Clubhouse BFD in Rochester, MI has had BCBS on tap for almost a week now and have more in the back. Not sure if they're going to keep it on or rotate it though.

There was suppose to a wink at the end of my post.... I called Wrigley Goose Island at 11am and they said the bcbs kicked last night after hours ;-) Tap takeovers are different though you are correct.

So reading between the lines, a bar might pull a keg early to save it for staff, et al? I still figure it wouldn't be smart to leave a half-used keg sitting around for months. I guess you're joking about BCBS kicking in Wrigleyville, though it'll kick soon enough I'm sure :astonished:
