In the past year or so, I've never spent more than $8 on a sixer on New Glarus

You're shop in at the wrong store if you pay more than 7.99. They are $6.99 at all Woodmans.

Not really able to find that kind of price in my part of Virginia. Sam Adams was 8.49 about 3 years ago. That is now 9.99. The cheapest beer I usually buy is Highland Brewing's coffee porter or mocha stout for $9.49.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to check Marino's out when I get a moment. I have not gone shopping their yet.

Yeah state by state prices can vary significantly but SN and Lagunitas produce the highest quality brews across their portfolio for the lowest prices in craft from what I've seen. I've just bought Brown Shugga today for $10.99 a sixer. Might be expensive for other states, but the fact that Busch/Natural light is $5.99 a sixer where I live...well you can see how awesome a deal Brown Shugga (9.9%ABV) really is when you relate it to the 4.5% ABV options (then factor in taste as well).

Yeah, I don't see any sub-$8 six packs around here. Other than BMC stuff. If I did that would be my go-to.

Wow, I never thought I'd feel good about the prices in Northern VA! I'm sipping a Flying Fish Red Fish, which is by no means a great beer, but at 7.99 a sixer (6.99 after the ubiquitous TW coupon), it's still a good deal.

There is no such thing as a decent 6-pack for <$8 around here unless you want to pick up some BMC products.

Primo Tall boys for $7. Not the most complex or flavor bursting beer, but great for the beach days here... which is every day.

In my area, about the only sixer under $8 thats drinkable would be Yuengling lager, porter, black & tan, etc.

Whatever is in the close out isle for 3.99 usually is pretty fine....recently Baba black lager was 12.99 a case along with Lennies Wee Heavy, Imperial stout, Baltic porter, and some others that slip my mind right now since I am too buzzed to go looking in to the emergency beer doomsday closet from the computer room.

Ohio went NUTS when that stuff finally hit here....I used to always ask people to bring some back from most other places in the US and oddly enough always got the same thing...the lager when I wanted Lord Chesterfield....now I can get it less than a mile from my house and have lost the enthusiasm, although it is still good for what it is.

Agreed. It IS my go to "cheep beer". Funny how most of the rednecks in my area consider it " luxury beer" :grinning:

Bale Breaker Top Cutter if it is on sale, anything Deschutes, SN, lots of option in the NW usually but those would be my go too's.

I'll second Bell's Two Hearted. Not a six pack, but you can find 4 silos for $8 all over Chicago now. I'd gladly give up the 8 ounces for that QPR.

And it's been a while since I bought from Costco, but they have always had mixed cases of Two Brothers for under $30. Winter selection had Imperial Northwinds stout, Cane & Ebel red rye, Domaine DuPage, and some kind of paleish ale.

NEBCO's Sea Hag is quite a respectable buy for usually $8-9.
