Hint 1: Shipping... east

Now for me to do a pass through on my wants and make sure I've got stuff from every area.

 

The Not Summer 6er, Winter 6er or Round 4 if you will:

Everyone should have targets by now (I hope) and I will say this thing is turning into quite the puzzle with this being round 4 and all the side action/other BIF's involved. It is my hope I provided people fresh new targets and in some cases a chance to send payback boxes.

There were a couple requests for an extended ship date due to potential extreme cold weather. I am totally good with this as I think we should use our best judgement when shipping to/from cold weather climates. A good rule of thumb is to ensure the box doesn't sit in a warehouse/truck over the weekend in a cold place since some of our temperatures will get 0 and below. Definitely check weather forecasts and/or work with your target on ideal shipping windows.

Here are the guidelines for the box:
I believe last time we tried to keep this to a 6 container package although some people (me included) through creativity did bend the rules. 6 x 750 ml containers would be 150 oz so lets set a max at that number. I think you could be a nice and balanced 6ish pack with wants, should be wants and of course locals involved because that's what this group is all about. I think a piece of brewery swag is a nice extra to include but certainly not a requirement for this sixer. If you want your targets T-shirt size and/or glassware preference and it is not included please contact me and I will go about getting that information for you.

Shipping Window:
I would say a good window would be December 29th though January 19th to ensure a good weather window is selected with out the need to rush a box. As always I am sure their will be over achievers so feel free to ship sooner if you deem it necessary.

My target needs to update wants, but based on styles, I have 5 out of 6 slots pretty much already picked out. Not sure about the 6th beer yet, but Im sending beers that are wants in other parts of the country so you shouldn't be disappointed, but being able to hint a couple true wants would make me feel better.

I have a question for The Locals. I have a beer that is listed on my target's wants but there is a good chance it is infected. I opened one and it was fine. I sent one to a friend and not so good. I have one left. What is your opinion? Cheers

 

I'd be fine sending it along, just include a note. Odds are your target is aware of known infection issues, but make sure they know it and hit that want!

I still feel like I don't know enough people even from talking in this thread more recently to have "hoped" for anyone... I just like the opportunity to send local beer (and maybe some wants in the process) heh

I wouldn't be opposed to trying their other two offerings that I didn't sample while I was there (an IPA and a tripel)... but not that again. I have been trying to try more local things though, considering I tend to get a lot of stuff that has larger distro, and forget about the little guys in my backyard.

No problem Jason. Jumping into the Locals thread with a gift. I picked up 4 2012 BCBS not long ago from my local store, seems the distributer was hoarding them. Feels right to share 1. Will box it up today and ship tomorrow.
