Looks like I need to make a trip to Brown's.

 

Perhaps it is an issue of semantics here? La Trappe coined the 'name' of Quadrupel, and the Americans coined it as a 'style'?

 

I suppose anything is possible but I am still awaiting enlightenment from @Zimbo .

LordCrabapple IS CORRECT. It was intended as a name of a beer not of a style. Simple.

Sort of getting the impression that all work and no play is making Jack a bit of a dull boy here.

Quads are just strong Dubbels.

 

Kept a case in my basement untouched since last winter. I could have assumed as much, but wow, this one ages well. So much smoother than when it was fresh.

 

A solution to a problem that isn't actually a problem: I dub these beers "quadubbles"

 

Call it a double dubbel.

 

Dubbels are just weak quads.
