Did you all get taken for a bottle of vanilla rye? I'm going to send one of you a box but have no idea how to figure this out. The contents of the box will not be these huge bottles cause I don't have them but I'll do some Jackie O's stuff.

I'm thinking I'll tarp your names to different blocks and have my 1 1/2 year old pick a block and that person will get some good beer. Sorry this happened to you guys! Video to come later tonight!

Wow really sorry to hear about this. OP is an excellent trader. I had talked to many of the aliases of EdwardFortyhands and he was always a complete douche bag so I never followed through with him on trades. BA is better with him gone

This guy shouldn't get rewarded for his actions. This is also insensitive to gay people. Gay people are great. I'd say put his number on craigslist listing a free pool table that needs hauled away. That would get tons of calls.

Jermy, I doubt very much that he's gone regardless of where he lives. He's been banned multiple times but continues to shamelessly rip people off That's just here. What are the chances that he's not doing this same shit on other sites?

He's just a run of the mill sociopath exploiting the trust & goodwill of a generous & friendly community. He won't stop unless he is forced to & what would or could force him to quit?

 

@CHSASVbeer BM'd me about the Indeed Rum King I offered earlier, so I will be shipping that out to him.

 

I'm not sure this would help in any way for future trades involving whales or any other, why couldn't we as BA's institute a couple more rules of the trading forum; post a pic of the exact bottles were are offering, with a post it note or a piece of paper with our BA name attached to it with a date written on it? Yes, its another step and yes, time consuming but over time, if the rule is mandatory, it might cut down on shady deals like this. How can we be sure the bottles aren't refilled and capped or rewaxed? Detailed pictures provide a lot of info. We have good 'detectives' on here as seen by this thread. I think most of us can spot a fake a mile away....hopefully. I think it would further legitimize our trading process. Thoughts?

 

Interesting Idea. I agree that this may be good practice with someone newer to trading or possible a bad trader but don't think it should be mandatory. Also, If someone like this bad trader, he would still be able to take pictures then switch the bottle when he ships and make some excuse that the bottle broke or something and he would have to send a replacement.

 

I don't any of the heavy hitters left but I can send out a couple of the other more regular TG stuff to any that were duped. Let me know if any are interested!!

To be honest, I have not opened the bottle yet. However, everything about my trade was sketchy as hell. He was strongly against expanding and including extras, twice lied about shipping the box, claimed he hadn't paid UPS for the month of November and that's why it hadn't been shipped, never responded after I sent him a BM asking if he got my box, taped the cap of my DB Cake, and there's clear scratches on the top of my bottle that make it look like it had already been opened. So yeah, I won't know for sure until next weekend probably but I'm about 99% sure it's a fake.

 

I like this idea, but I don't know if a mandatory rule would work, I, personally would do this if anybody ever asked. One way around a bait and switch would be to photograph something on the bottle unique to it, like bottle number, bar code number, etc.

 

I started a thread on Reddit beertrade about him to alert those guys, since he had mentioned it on one of his responses.
