Big Thanks to Art and Brad as usual, a really awesome Anniversary Party! Taps were amazing, Oro Negro is the best "Mexican Spiced" stout I have ever had. Please bottle and Barrel Age!

Couldn't agree more. I had heard that Oro Negro is scheduled to be bottled next year

The BB Brick Kiln that was conditioned on nuts was also phenomenal, IMHO. Big props to all the Jackie O's folks who worked so hard to overcome adversity and make the 9th anniversary a success.

Nutted BB Brick Kiln was a huge favorite of mine. Excellent beer!

Bottled Oro Negro would pretty much be fantastic. Anyone else think this batch was much heavier on the peppery spice than the last batch? That's not a complaint. Just curious.

This batch used scorpion peppers and I believe the last batch was habenaro peppers.

Nutted BA Brick Kiln is probably my all-time favorite beer from them. I was so happy to see it on this weekend.

Oro Negro was efinitely heavier on the peppery spice than last time IMO...and I loved it!

That's right! I thought the scorpion pepper part of the description sounded different to me. I loved both versions. For heartburn sake, I would probably prefer the habanero lol.

It was awesome telling my friend when we got our first pour that I think Oro Negro is in the same class as Huna and then almost immediately after that being able to confirm by trying them side by side. For research purposes of course.

I enjoyed the Oro when I tried it first but when I did the side by side, as said above, the heat was a bit much and unbalanced by Huna was more refined and balanced.

I ultimately preferred Huna by a bit too, but I think Oro made it a lot closer than Cake or Bomb have. It helps though that I really liked the greater heat.
