    I agree that sucks isn't even close. More like a watered down abrasive. Actually I never get as strong a hop feel from sucks as other people do

    Abrasive is a benchmark a barometer as what a 2IPA can be IMO ..it is a great seasonal and one my favorite brews

    Only thing comparable to Abrasive is Heady, but they are also quite different. Both are freaking awesome IIPAs to drink and come in 16oz cans. Both Heady and Abrasive have a nice shelf life. I hope some is sent to WI this year, like some of the other Surly beer this summer.

    Just got a message from my GF that she knows someone who lives close to Surly and is willing to bring stuff down for Christmas. Commenting here just to follow the thread. I've only had Abrasive at bottle shares and would love to get my own 4 pack. Or 8 pack.

    Surly will be distro'd in WI around March. they went with Beechwood in a kind of surprising yet welcome move over Wirtz. They will hub out of EauClaire area deliver from there.

    Not sure if you saw earlier in the thread, but there is a seemingly increasing possibility that due to the new brewery Abrasive may not be out by Christmas. In previous years it's been out before thanksgiving... so I think we are all jonesing a little for an abrasive fix.

    16 oz bottles too! As a kid, those ice cold bottles of Mountain Dew were amazing.

    Now back to complaining about the release date of Abrasive....

    It will be out when it's ready. RT @AndrewInMN: @surlybrewer I heard a nasty rumor that Abrasive won't hit shelves until January. Any truth to that?
