Specs downtown Houston due to get a good amount of LC#2 tomorrow. When I say good amount, relative to what we've seen in other markets. May be a 2 or 3 bottle limit. Should also get 2012 Saison-Brett tomorrow as well followed by some stragglers of Rye or Rye later this week.

 

any locations besides downtown for houston? usually the webster store (my normal and easiest) happens upon some of these beers, just a day or two later.

i'm just being lazy and selfish, but would prefer to avoid a drive into town if possible

Specs on Brodie has 3 cases of love child on the floor for 17.99 a bottle. They also have saison-brett on the floor as well.

 

I just picked up LC#2 and Saison-Brett 2012 at Central Market on North Lamar, $16.99 and $11.99.

 

i've never got any special releases at CM, i'm guessing its like everywhere else and kept in the back?

 

Nope, both were out on a shelf. I have had to ask for the DR beers in the past, though.

 

Anyone checked Hall's today? Anyone know when they typically receive beer (I've only recently started to visit and I haven't determined their cycle)

 

I think they get their new stuff on Thursdays as they post their new arrivals on that other beer forum generally on Thursday or Friday AM. I asked about it last Thursday when I picked up some Saison-Brett and they said theirs was sitting, not sure what that meant exactly, and that they'd heard Tarrant County was only getting 3 cases or some such. I had my brother grab me a bottle in KC just in case I miss it down here.

I'd say so because I bought two bottles of Saison Brett there last week. It was sitting next to at least 3 other varieties of smokestack beers in 750s and 4-packs....

As far as I know Hall's receives their beer shipments on fridays. (if im not mistaken)

My Keg-1 contact said they only got 20 cases for Austin.
