Wanted to let everyone know that KBS is on tap at Durty Nellie's in Palatine. As I understand they have about 1/3 of a keg left (maybe less after my 4 glasses last night). I know a lot of people missed out this year, so hopefully this will help a couple folks get some 2012 for the first time. They have Rye on Rye and some other cool stuff around as well.
Kind of nuts isn't it? Most places have big release parties and the keg is done in less than 20 minutes. These guys just throw on stuff like this randomly and are very nonchalant about it which is awesome. I've had bourbon county there on tap on a relatively quiet night there, cantillon, etc. They have some awesome bottles too.
Sorry for threadjacking but Ballydoyle's in Aurora had Bramble on tap last night if anyone in the suburbs is interested Cheers!
Bigby's Pour in Addison ( as of Monday) had one of the best tap line ups i have seen... DFH: 120 DFH: Baton Burton GI: BCS Petrus NB: Tart Lychee 2 Brothers: Hop Juice
Were u there? Did u notice a lot of ppl drinking it? I like that bar but I don't go there as often as I should. They regularly have Daisy Cutter cans and all the "BIG" GI releases in bottles. Believe they still have BCBCS btls as well.
If true, this is the first I've heard of Bramble on draft. The review page has 103 from the bottle, 0 from a tap.
Yeah I was at their trivia last night and myself and the other 4 people on my team all had a snifter of it, didn't look around to see if other were drinking it however. Earlier in the year we all split a bottle of KH and a btl of BCBCS with our trivia winnings
Sweet deal man!! I plan on headin up there in the next day or two. What were they charging for a Bramble pour?
On Tuesdays they do their "special price taps" it was $6 for a 10oz snifter Guessing around $8 on a normal day
KBS keg just got kickedI had 1 and saw 4 more go and that was it. But they told me they had a keg of bcbs they were waiting to put on in the next week or so.
Who sits and drinks glass after glass of barrel aged stouts in 95 degree weather? lol. I love it. *sips on my KBS*
Rye on rye ain't shabby. I'm not a KBS fan anyway particularly after so much Bourbony Count the past couple of weeks. (Ref another thread for the amusing misspelling by GI no less)
