You shouldn't have had to buy $75 worth of stuff to purchase that Stickee Monkey to begin with... Sigh...

Interesting, I only paid $55 for a bottle of DDG and the track #7.

And if you were standing next to that tip jar all morning I think I bumped into you. Sorry.

Maybe they had a secret sale on track#7 - buy a DDG, get a track for $1

If only because I would have bought more track #7 since that stuff is delicious.

SRSLY. And, this is far from the first person in this thread who has said that much, if not all, of what they ordered wasn't in fact in stock, when it came down to fulfilling orders. *So* much fail.

The worst part about this situation is that this is now considered a "good thing" to the average, unadvised beer drinker. It's setting the path for the future of how beer is being sold in general, which is a TERRIBLE thing for consumers.

I know I'm not the first to say it, but I don't understand how it was "nice" of them to "honor" the purchase where the requirement was to make you pay for $75 of beer to have the "right" to purchase a Stickee Monkey. That's absurd, and $35 doesn't make it any better.

Lol. I know... I had second thoughts as well, so I tipped better on the other beers

I was going to make the same joke, until I realized that I would have tipped less.

But seriously, I always have a tough time determining tips for shit like this. I wouldn't tip 20% like a restaurant because they're only cracking a bottlecap, but just a couple bucks seems cheap. I probably would have also tipped $5, then been simultaneously mad at myself for tipping that much and self-conscious that it wasn't enough. :grinning:

Obviously going on a tangent here, but if they pop it and pour it for you then $5 or more is justified. If it's just the bottle and leave it up to you to pour then why not less than $5? Does the elevated price include the corkage fee? Also, if they charge a cork fee in addition to the bottle, do you tip then? If so, what?

I agree that you shouldn't have to buy $X of products for the opportunity to buy something else at a markup. This isn't the only store that does this though. Qualityliquorstore.com does the same thing. Don't like it and try to avoid buying stuff that way. Just sharing my experience with the retailer.

Thing about CFH is, there's over a hundred of reviews rating it incredibly.

This particular bottle is owned by 20 people. Even if it is incredible it won't even qualify for a BA rating. The trade/resale value is gonna be shit. Eclipse sits in certain areas for good reason.

    FTFY.

In seriousness, Eclipse is a tasty beer. But as with Cascade, they just sit and collect dust because they're just a touch too overpriced for what they are. Variants like the Java and High West Rye might not last long, but many will last until the 2015 release.

That was the best glass they could give you for DDG?

I just discovered this thread and had to make a comment. Multie times I've ordered from CBK and got the hookup. Moe didn't have to do that. He dleant know me. He took the time to answer my calls and all my questions. I didn't need the education on the beer, but I did on the whole ordering and shipping from California stuff.

Anyone who craps on Moe, if you hide your identity at all on this or other forums, you're just another Internet troll. He doesn't hide behind anything. Also, i like seeing all the IG posts. Sometimes they tell me about a beer that was just released that I wouldn't have known otherwise

I think you may be benefitting from this thread actually. The prices on the site right now seem much fairer and reasonable than in the past and the same can be said about the shipping.
