Speaking of Sunny Side Up...


I just got a trade box in the mail today. I was feeling pretty bummed about not getting any Vanilla Rye so I decided to make myself feel better. The outer 4 bottles were extras. Really feeling unworthy and humbled today.

 

Out of context, this is reeeeeeeally wrong.

 

In context, I already have a bottle of rootbeer packed in a shipper destined for Columbus.

 

Yeah, too bad they took it down...

 

I enjoyed the first 15 or so before they took it down though great stuff.

 

Glad to see everything made it safe. The Big Nick is from a local brewery down in Nashville. I saw it and since your name is Nick, I thought it would be fun to add. The beer being delicious doesn't hurt either.

 

Wait, you traded for Backyard Rye and Vanilla Rye, and got 2 years of BCBBW, Anna, and Sunny Side Up as extras????? Who is your trading partner and what can I send him?!?

 

Yeah, the dude was crazy generous! I'm already planning a retaliation box because while I sent him some pretty good things, I was not prepared for this. This wasn't even a trade partner, found him on the ISO/FT forums and he just killed it. He's from the PA/NJ area too.

 

That's awesome, I wonder if it's one of the guys I know. For all the BS that goes on in ISO:FT there are plenty of awesome guys over there with the same mentality we on the BIF side have; not everyone is a value-squeezing jerk.

I 100% understand if you'd rather leave him out of it, but if you don't mind sharing, I'd be curious to know who it was.

edit: and not just to hit him up for Vanilla

 

Anybody tried Bell's Mercury? After the disgrace the Venus was (and how good Mars was),I am not sure what to expect.

trade was wake and bake for hipster and soda extras for his 6 (maybe 7 year old) and my 5 year old. dude slaughtered it. every single beer is a want of mine. keith is the man.

 

Oh man, a buddy of mine gave me a can of Hodad (and second fiddle) a while back when he made a VT trip for Heady (I was invested for half a case of heady... the others he just gave me as "extras"). Pretty damn good, IIRC. We had some other good stuff to go along with it when I cracked it open (2013 BCBS, Enjoy by, cans of heady), but I remember enjoying it.

Little bit of VBS action, and some surprise pr0n from @mbmiche... he told me to look at my porch so I thought I was getting the Sixterhood, but NOPE, he just hit me for no reason at all. Sneaky bastard.

I'm building the Abduction set, and Cherry Truffle was one of the few I had left to gather, now I'm down to just Raspberry Truffle, Mint Truffle, and Coffee Break. And who doesn't love a 2-week-old DIPA from Pipeworks with one of the better hops out there. Already in the fridge, and depending on what time it is when I finish my second VBS bottle, I might just drink it tonight.
