Mikkeller - Barrel-Aged Beer Geek Brunch Weasel

    Looks like Mikkeller is going to be releasing a new Beer Geek Brunch Weasel variant. This time, it will be barrel-aged in Slyrs whiskey barrels. Slyrs is a distillery out of Germany that specializes in single malt whiskey. No word on US distribution, but as always, Shelton will be importing this to the States from Norway, so it will likely see some distribution in their footprint. This will be packaged in 330ml (11.2oz) bottles and clock in at 10.9% ABV.

    $20 would be cheap! This will be $30 in philly when you consider that the non-BA is ~$20. Not getting my money... Mikkeller beers are just too damn expensive!

    Having just visited Slyrs three months ago, this would be a great gift to the buddy I went with! So yea, I'll wind up being a sucker for the price if it gets DC/NOVA distro.

    As always, a reminder to blame the Shelton Bastards for the U.S. price, not Mikkeller per se.

    I think this will be solid; I really, really enjoyed the Vanilla Shake and VS BA but the base Weasel is terrible in my opinion. It desperately needed whisky in the first place. 10.9% is puny for Mikkeller too. I wanted to see him flex a 13-14% ABV on this and Speedway Weasel.
