Ft. Collins Festivus which was suppose to be tomorrow was cancelled today. Not sure exactly why. I know they kept running deals on Living Social so maybe tickets weren't selling?
Oh bummer. I'm guessing so. Super lame, I wanna check out why they shut it down... stay posted perhaps...
Hey there. Event organizer here. We were actually ok on ticket sales, with the help of some Groupon sales (not living social, but same thing in the end), and a steady rate of normal sales toward the end. We had the venue permitted for liquor and special events a while back, and were under the impression we were good to go. Late last week we found out from the Building Permits department and the Fire Marshall that the building didn't have the right permits for high occupancy (>100 ppl). We tried to get a last minute variance or temporary license, but couldn't do it in the time allotted. We're super bummed, and hope to reschedule soon!
That's lame, very sorry to hear. The Denver one is a blast each year... also hook a brother up haha...
