Double Barrel Huna

IIRC, landed a DB Huna for two Aaron's and a 750ml growler of Good Morning

 

... I hope he included another db huna as the extra lol

 

Both parties were happy.

 

So is DBH pretty much the holy grail among beers right now?

 

I closed one a couple weeks ago for FF, LPK, and St Lam. The trade involved other fantastic beers that he was very fair on and extra'd nicely. Good luck!

 

i wouldn't say it's the holy grail, but it's a consistently amazing beer that is only getting harder to find every day

 

I just traded a DBH and a few others solid bad boys for a blabaer 2012 750ml and DDG and golden blend.

Bottle counts are low, and only getting lower. I will drink the last ones I have.

 

yeah, i'm in full hoard mode with the two that i have left. there's very, very little out there that i would trade them for.

 

For sure, really the only reason I traded my DBH to begin with is because it will start falling off in the next month or so and I don't drink special bottles like that that much so I opted for something I could age a little big longer.

 

I have one bottle left and somone would have to tempt me with Massive quantities to let it go, as There is not ONE bottle out there I would trade it for.

Have you noticed a marked decline? Been pondering when to drink mine. I've had it a couple times, so I'm not in a huge rush. If it's falling off noticeably I may expedite consumption.

 

OP, I may be in the minority here, but I thought it was only a marginal improvement over regular Huna. We did them side-by-side.

 

i haven't, but it's been a couple months since i've had any. it was still drinking perfectly then.

 

No I haven't noticed any drop off yet, and I had one about a month ago. But with all those flavors and adjuncts in the beer I don't think it will last much past a year, and that year is coming up. Maybe a month or two past a a year. I'll probably drink one right at a year and see how it's doing. Then decide from there.

Anyone have an idea if DB Huna will be released again next year at Huna day? Much rather try a fresher version since I've never had it.

 

CCB has yet to repeat a BA Huna, so I wouldn't expect to see DBH again for a long, long time.

 

True. They also said they weren't doing Huna day again though...

You very well may be right, guess there's really no telling is what I'm saying.
