    Hey Flordidians,
My family and I are staying in South Beach tomorrow prior to heading out on a cruise. We are planning to grab some food at Burger and Beer Joint (seems family friends and has beer, so why not?:grinning:). I was looking around for a tap or bottle list for the place. Anybody know where I can find one or if the place has a decent selection of local brews?
    Cheers,
    Pat

It doesn't look like they have the beer menu posted online. I haven't been to the one in Miami Beach but I visited the one in Brickell/dowtown Miami. The burgers and food are really good. The beer selection was good but not amazing - they didn't really have anything rare or really limited. That being said if you are from out of state I'm sure they'll have enough beers you haven't tried before to sample. To get the beer menu, you could probably email them and I bet they would send you them if you told them you were planning to bring a group there. Otherwise sometimes if I can't find what beers a bar or restaurant serves online, I go to Untappd and search for the venue and see what beers people have posted as drinking there recently. Enjoy your visit to Miami.

I know, it looks fantastic! Just don't want to go in there and have to eat one whilst drinking a Busch Draft!:grinning:

If you have transportation: Instead, I would propose that you jump over the Venetian Causeway and go to Kush in Wynwood (like 10mins away). Great beer, great food. Ask for the super secret beer list, you'll be happy you did. http://kushwynwood.com/

@jcb7472 I'm an Untapp'd addict, but never searched a venue with it. Great idea and thanks for the info!

That place looks great, if I didn't have two kids with me I'd be there for sure. We will have a car. I'll see if I can sell my wife on that. Thanks!

I'm from Miami. Seriously, Wynwood is a dangerous ghetto that is still being gentrified. If you don't know the right streets, I wouldn't go. My sister's roommate was just robbed 2 weeks ago a block from Kush. Burger and Beer Joint has a good selection and $8 flights a lot of the time. Enjoy your cruise!

MrMonotone69 is probably right. I wouldn't recommend the Wynwood area to out of towners visiting with kids. Probably best to stay on Miami Beach. Burger & Beer Joint will probably be a good place for you guys. Look for local beers by Cigar City, Wynwood, Funky Buddha, and Due South.

Appreciate all the feedback. I am familiar with my own inner city (grew up there as a matter of fact:wink:) but try not to venture off the beaten path in someone else's inner city unless I'm with a native!

B&B has a good enough selection to keep you satisfied but like others said nothing crazy. I don't think the burgers are all that to be honest (for the price). Not a bad time, but I'm a big of a food & beer snob.

Kush has better food and better beer, but as mentioned Wynwood is "up and coming" but still ghetto. Kush is also the size of a shoebox.

Last time I checked, B and B Miami Beach has nothing on draft, just bottles. That being said, everyone that commented on the bottle list is on point. Good, but nothing crazy.

Wynwood area during the daytime is completely fine. Kush and a trip to check out JWB (blocks away) is what I would recommend.

Others to consider on Miami Beach, if you decide to stay there: Tongue n Cheek had BCBS on draft recently. Yard House on Lenox and 17 Street has great food and a better beer selection than B n B. Directly in front of the Yard House is the back door to Gulf Liquors, which carries decent stuff. I was there this week and found 4 packs of Cubano Espresso.

JWB isn't open though right? Did I miss something?

Agreed about Yard House, forgot that place opened up there. Abbey Brewing Co is chill and sometimes has some nice beers. You would also be right by Shake Shack if you really want a burger

JWB is not open as of yet. The last of the inspections passed a couple days ago and the paperwork is making it's way through the system for final stamping. On that note, JWB tasting room should be opening very, very soon. It takes 3-4 weeks to brew up inventory for tasting room from this point. Regardless, it'd be cool to cruise by and maybe get an informal tour or look around.

If all other dinner plans fail, go to Joe's Stone Crab and sneak in some Jai Alai cans.
