Pretty pumped for Meet the Brewer at Two Roads, Dec. 27. SOS and Super Session #2 will be on! Hopefully that will be the only beers on... Going from Lawson's to Two Roads would suck.

Lol. Well, more for the rest of us who do visit Eli's I guess, huh? Just curious, how often have you stopped into Eli's since they became "a beat up place that hasn't been good since before 2009" to rate them so poorly? That's an awfully long time for a beer bar to survive when they don't satisfy members of the craft beer drinking community such as yourself, isn't it?

maybe once a year since. every time i've brought someone there i've been burnt either by bad selection, or suspiciously bad tasting beer not tasting like i remember (read: probably dirty lines). i heard some rumbling about a change in ownership or something years ago, but i don't know anything about that. i just know they've disappointed me consistently.

also, the few times i've had the food there i was a vegetarian, and it was vile.

(: sorry to bash, more power to them and you if they're popular and people enjoy it. i hope they succeed, and i'm sure this dedicated sunshine line will help a lot.

The food is about the only good thing there IMO haha, but I'm not a vegetarian.

The bartenders are jerks, the waitstaff isn't much better, and the pricing IMO isn't very good on some/most draft beers.

Again, different strokes, but I think Eli's sucks too, and has for years.

yeah, love vegetarianism though i do (i quit due to low b vitamins more or less), you can't judge a restaurant on their veggie options. the best places cater to both, but so many places have awesome meat dishes but are clueless as to how to satisfy a vegetarian (tip to restaurateurs: a black bean burger and a caprese sandwich/salad aren't gonna do it!)

I hear ya. I used to be a veggie for about a year until my vitamin levels were perceived to be too low as well. I only eat chicken and turkey now, and that's not that bad. That said, Eli's food is actually pretty good, for a non veggie.

I'm hoping people don't go around to every store asking for SOS. Hopefully Lawsons def updates and posts what locations have it.

Lawson's said they are going to update their "find our beer" page with specific bars and retail outlets in VT and CT.

    That's like your opinion, man.

Eli's has never done wrong by me, and that's why I have supported them for 10+ years. They are very active supporters of the community, running lots of charitable events.
Never had an issue with dirty lines, and although the price of food has crept up over the years, I will still frequently stop in for a pint or two and some grub.

You are correct my friend, that is just like my opinion, man.

Had had multiple bad to mediocre experiences there, personally.

McLadden's in West Hartford will host a launch party on Dec 29 at 7pm with Sean Lawson. We will be carrying Sip of Sunshine on draught consistently beginning this week at our CT locations. Cheers! We are very excited!

Looks like my average tab is about to spike, but very much for a worthy brew. Congrats to all pubs and retail locations that get their hands on it.

Kegs have arrived at Hartford. I'm sure you'll see some this weekend and if not, I'd say likely next week.
