Lawsons SOS available in CT in December '14?

I remeber when it first came out alot of people thought it was gonna be just like double sunshine, but it's not......still a great beer!

 

But you gave it a 5? (For the record, I agree w/ you -- I need to give it another shot, but first go-round (with a very fresh bottle, no less) it was just another pleasant, but not especially memorable, DIPA.)

Looking at the list, FF CTY (along w/ NH cty) is in the next wave of distribution. Is it me, or is Fairfield Cty the desert of craft beer in CT? A few decent bottle shops and very few quality bars, most of which are in Fairfield

 

Like what? Not going to "kill" you. Just going to question your appreciation for glorious, fresh, hoppy beer.

 

I just expected a lot more hop flavor in the middle and finish from this beer. I will try it again when the cans come out.

 

Well, it is going to be hard to meet the hype expectations that's been given here. Anyone know what the price point is going to be for a four pack of kingers?

It's a really good beer. Are there better beers in existence? Sure. Still a great addition to the shelves and tap lines in CT though. Unless you some across some Coriolis or FBD it'd be tough to find a better IPA on tap in CT...just my opinion! It's Gbot level as far as i'm concerned, and that's just fine with me.

This is coming from someone who has had it and some other LFL several times already though, I suppose for someone who has never had anything from Lawsons who might be expecting some sort of miracle elixir based on the reputation...yeah, it's nothing more than a really well made IPA.

 

This, plus it's as good a beer as Heady Topper and you'll have access to it. There. It's been said. There are always going to be better beers, but don't complain. This is a top-notch beer. Not everything needs to be the best beer ever for me to consume it. Sometimes a really fn good beer will do it. SOS is that beer.

 

There are plenty of good craft beer bars in FF county. Walrus + Carpenter, Craft 260, Local Kitchen, Ginger Man, Cask Republic Stamford, Coalhouse Pizza, Bar 140 to name a few.

 

Anyone have an idea about when cans might be landing this week? I was going to call around a little today to see what I can find, but I figured I would ask.

Called crazy Bruces in Bristol, they think they'll have it later in the week.

Bruce sold the stores years ago and lives in Florida now, so I hear...
