One of my favorites! Nice touch with Gary Moore, too, passed a few years ago to not much fanfare sadly. I have his Blues Alive! album which is more or less pretty fantastic.

Pulled this 2011 vintage out for tonight. Lost pretty much all carbonation, but it's tasting great! Happy Saturday!

Hop Ranch isn't as good as I remember it from last year, but it's still great.
And I was psyched to find the Blood Orange Gose, apparently it was flying off the shelves but I found a place that had a few sixers left.

You're right, this beer is the most widely purchased beer in China. I live in China currently and Snow beer is absolutely terrible. It's probably around 10-20 cents a can. Nasty stuff, IMO.

About Gary Moore, I remember hearing about that. I did get into listening to him again recently when I went through a Thin Lizzy phase, and watched a documentary that mentioned his relationship with Phil Lynott. There are some killer tracks on YouTube, though, and seeing him with a strat was a real treat. Seemed appropriate for that post, too.

I gotta say, about the Rothaus- if it were available regularly I'd be hard pressed to drink any other Pilsner. It has everything you'd expect in terms of flavor, aroma and balance, and then some, plus that surprisingly amazing malt quality that comes on late; I don't see how I'd ever tire of it.

A damn good cream stout. Big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cream, and light char/smoke. Huge robust and creamy mouthfeel. I love the whole number stout series, not a disappointing one in the lot. I should really buy them more often(other than the Plead I buy every year).

Very nice imperial hoppy brown. Nice grapefruit/lemon/orange zest citrus and light pine; and moderate caramel, toast, brown sugar and nutty/chocolate/light coffee malt balance. Just yet another Shorts beer I wonder why I don't buy more often. Simcoe hops rock! Actually seems more hop forward this year in the flavors, wonder if they whirlpooled or something.

Delicious Altbier at 9 bucks a 6 pack. Really enjoy this one.

Always damn good year after year. I dunno what that one thread was saying about off bottles, I have never seen them this year.

    Cheers!

I read that thread, and it seems legit. He was mentioning specific off bottles within a case, and even showed photographs comparing them with the good ones. It does happen every now and then- I've experienced something similar with other breweries.

Yea I know, I saw those photos in the thread. I was just saying that I personally haven't hit any inconsistencies myself thankfully. I buy plenty of Great Lakes and Thirsty Dog every year. Never been let down
