The only beers I've liked from Ska are the Vernal Minthe Stout and the Mole Stout. And that's because the mint and chili were pretty heavy. Otherwise it'd be a thin weak stout I wouldn't bother with. Everything else has been sadly forgetable.
As far as IPAs go, I suppose Modus is respectable, but none of these very few beers make the brand good.

I agree that those one-off stouts are good, but I also like more of their stuff. Modus is great, and their fresh hop IPA that comes out each fall that I can't remember the name of is pretty solid. I also like Euphoria, their winter pale ale that's out now. I would say overall I like Ska a lot - things like True Blonde and ESB are ok but nothing fantastic, but not everything needs to be fantastic for me to say I like a place. Nothing is out and out bad to me, I'll put it that way.

I've been trying to scoop up as many fresh hop's this season as I can and I actually think their's (Hoperation Ivy) is the best of what I've been able to find...

I'd also echo the sentiments on the minthe and mole stouts. The estival cream stout is pretty solid as well. Haven't had the vinifera.
