Yankee Spirits in Swansea Ma is about a mile off exit 3 on 195. Biggest and best bottle selection in the area. If you're coming into PVD then going to the cape right on your way. Cheers and enjoy our fine New England Brews.

I think Windmill has a very solid selection that only improves in the Summer time. I recommend Wicked Oyster in Wellfleet and Blackfish in Truro for great food and good beer. Also Mac Shack has awesome sushi and usually some interesting beers. The Lighthouse has upgraded to 20 taps so they will have a nice selection also. Moby Dick's is a good BYOB spot and don't miss taking a couple of beers to catch a double feature at the Wellfleet Drive In!

Another vote here for the Nor'East Beer Garden. I was in Ptown this past weekend and was very pleased with their local craft beer selection. They had taps from Jack's Abby, Troegs, Victory, BBC, Dogfish, Backlash, Long Trail, Allagash, Peak, and a few others I can't decipher from the photo I snapped. While they didn't have anything terribly rare, I'd go so far as to say they have one of the best draft selections in the area. We ordered the fish tacos, which were quite good. I can't speak to the rest of the menu, but if the tacos are any indication, the rest of the menu will meet or exceed expectations.

Someone else already mentioned the British Beer Company in Falmouth. You can also find then in Sandwich (right on the beach) and in Hyannis Center. Each as a slightly different beer list. If you go to their website for each location you can find their list.

As for food, Captain Parker's in Hyannis has the best chowder on the Cape! You will find Cape Cod Beer in many restaurants on the Cape too.

And if you have not been to the Cape before be prepared for traffic, it's bad every weekend in the Summer, but holiday ones are worse! Not just getting there, but on RT 28 the main drag it can take you 20 minutes to go a mile, especially at dinner time when EVERYONE is going out to eat.

I'll be on The cape 26th-29th and would be happy to bring some HT for trade if the timing works out for you.

Grain and Vine is a great store! I learned about this shop last summer and walked down the road from the condo i rented every day to stock up. Kappys is has selection, but little to know beer knowledgeable staff the few times i was there on vaca, Luke's is . . . meh. I am not a worker or anything for grain and vine but I am a huge supporter of the selection he's always bringing it and promoting. And you got some ptetty knowledgeable people to talk to.

DEFINITELY stop in @ Cape Cod Beer! Beth got in touch with me last year when i posted my "cape cod vacation" thread lol they have the best local beer to enjoy as much as you can while your on the cape. if you visit the brewery, they are more than happy to take some time and talk/taste beer. My only negative is that they wouldnt release any "Christmas in July" a week early to me; bullsh. . .! All jokes aside, stop in and say hi

    Cheers!

You apparently didn't go there (Kappy's) at the right time... I am the beer manager there, and have been for the last 8 years, and beer is pretty much my life.. I even homebrew. Anytime you are in town, come in during the day (mother's hours) and ask for "The Beer Goddess" I'll be more than happy to help you choose something/answer any questions you may have. But yes, Grain and Vine rocks, too! As well as Cape Cod Beer!

Not sure if it's still there, but there's a smaller wine/beer store more toward the center of town (few doors down from the Land Ho) that has a decent stab at craft beers.

Down towards the health food store? Cool, will have to see if it is still there in August when we are down.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned the Wellfleet Beachcomber yet. Not gonna blow you away with a great beer selection but I can tell you this, there isn't a better place to grab a drink at sunset (or any other time for that matter) than there for a Cape Cod experience.

As for breakfast: Do yourself a real favor and listen to me on this - Moonakis, Perrys, Hole in One.
Lunch: Raw Bar Mashpee or Hyannis for a Lobster Roll.
Dinner: Tons of good options but Mac's Shack gets a second vote from me.

Beer shops: Already been mentioned but don't stray from this list if you want the best selection - Kappys Falmouth, Grain and Vine, Yarmouth WnS.

Plymouth has a more craft beer oriented bar scene and Cedarville WnS is a go to if you just want to buy some beer for take home.

I think it's worth mentioning that Wines & More in Wareham has a sizeable craft and import selection. There are certainly some rarities on the shelves as well. Not always the best prices but hey, has to beat over the bridge prices. Although, this won't work if you're going to be on a bus. Anyway, thats my 3 cents! Have fun!

Of course you should. Not necessarily to trade... more to consume yourself.

Any recommended bars in the Dennis-Brewster-Harwich area?

Your best choice in the that area is Ring Bros. It's a combo grocery / beer / wine store right off Exit 9A of the Mid-Cape Hwy in Dennis. It's across 134 from the Stop and Shop plaza there. The selection there has been pretty good for a few years now and when I stopped by 2 weeks ago, they had really stepped it up a notch from my last visit. For example, they had three bottled CBC (Cambridge) brews. Haven't seen CBC on the Cape before.

The Lukes on 28 in both Dennisport and Harwich are serviceable. They'll have anything mass distributed plus some of the basic locals but generally don't carry much "special". The one in Harwich is probably a notch better than the one in Harwichport.

Previously, I would have said to make the trek to Grain and Vine in Hyannis, but I've been beyond disappointed the last two times I've done that. The shelves were literally bare on the Friday before July 4th when I went there last. If not for feeling awkward about coming in and out without getting anything, I would have walked out empty handed. The time before (late May) I did get some Jack's Abby stuff but again the shelves were bare (I'd seen online that they'd have the Jack's Abby stuff). They will get good stuff, but the place really has gone downhill this year. I don't understand it.

You won't really find any great beer bars / restaurants in Dennis-Harwich area.

If you have the time, I'd second (or third or 4th) the rec above to go to Provincetown and hit Nor East Beer Garden. Selection on tap was fantastic for the Cape (and anywhere really) and the food was pretty good, too.
