Just saw the Nelson Showers the other day. That good?

 

I think it's brilliant. I like IPAs quite dry, bright, and this does that extremely well.

Make sure it's a fresh bottle, and yes, by all means go for it. It's at least as good as half of my list, assuming you're not into the maltier, more jammy kind of IPA, or bitter hyperbombs.

I picked up the Captain Lawrence Captain's Reserve in NYC this weekend, and I was very impressed.

I'd never heard of the brewery before this wkend -- Capt. Lawrence doesn't make it to Boston -- but I am glad I took a flier on them. The bottle was a few weeks old, and still was tasting great. Worth checking out.

I've only had it once but Knuckle Sandwich from Pizza Port was awesome. Maine Beer Company Dinner is also up there.
