So I've tried for awhile to get this beast...I've offered cable car 2013, DBH+ prop. Should I just quit? Here's what I have:
    Leon batch 2
    DBH
    MZ (humidor)
    Cognac church
    Prop 2014
    Dark arts
    AB HUNA

    Thoughts? Thanks!

Pretty much would have to offer all of it I guess, but IMO there is no reason to give up all that for a single beer

Which AB Huna do you have, the growler or the 2010 bottle?

ab huna bottle thats one of 74? should most definitely pull a kbbs by itself and I think KBBS should add.

CC+Leon b2 should work too. I wouldnt trade that dbh away though

I'm at the point where I think looking for a local with a KBBS and offer to open up some of your great beers to share make a hell of a lot more sense than giving up so much more for one. Most people, if lucky, have only 1 KBBS and they want to drink it so as tempting as your crazy offer is, they can't trade it away. Sharing offer gives them the option to drinking it and getting to try the beers they want to trade for, but can't. This is what I did with my KBBS+ and got to taste BVDL and BA Mex Cake set. Someone I had a share with before offered up the deal when he saw that I got a KBBS. I'm actually doing the same thing now with many other beers that I have for many other beers that I want to trade for with a few local traders. I recently ticked Cable Car, Art B3, LPK, Le Sarrasin, etc. that way.

I don't think the AB Huna would get done. It's 4 years old by now, and it's flavors probably faded a long time ago. I don't think many people would trade a fresh stout for it.

Op, KBBS is amazing, but it's not better than DBH. My opinion of course, but I would do what mythaeus said and look for a local whale share. That way you can drink your amazing beers while getting to try other amazing beers. People are much more likely to share their beer than trade it away. If you did the share route, I would take DBH, Prop, and Leon B2 for KBBS. That way you get to enjoy all that deliciousness and try something new.

I have heard nothing good about any of the old Huna Variants in the last year or so. In fact I believe that a bunch of guys who have drank pretty much everything there is to drink had the whole set about 6 months ago and I think they said some of them including AB Huna Bottle was a drainpour or close. So aside from wanting to tick it I'm not sure what its worth at this point.

But again people are stupid and will trade for bad beer just to tick them.

Don't do this. I've had KBBS twice this year. It was good, although not close to the best beer I've had, even this year, and I'm glad I got to try it, but you have excellent beers there, and unless you just NEED that tick, you'll regret it after the fact.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! Really looking for a solid maple stout then. Any recommendations? Thanks again!

Good Morning from Treehouse but you'll have to wait until they brew it again...a growler would be a month and a half old at this point.

not even remotely close to a stout, or the barrel-aged body I'm sure he's looking for (tasty beer though)
