It's tough to justify paying it, but damn its a good beer! Tonight's my first time trying it out of a bottle, so looking forward to seeing how it stacks up to draft.

 

Wow... any left? I have one on reserve at my shop, which is known to not be the cheapest, so I would not mind letting him sell that to someone else and save $6 (or more, I'm not exactly sure his asking price, just doubt it's less than $18)

 

I've also had it on draft, so I didn't splurge. I gotta build a bit of a beer kitty for January's Reserve Society releases.

I'll check for you tomorrow. If they do, how many you want?

or better yet...I was playing the odds and giving two distinctly different answers in an effort to divide and conquer? One right answer is better than two wrongs?

Appreciate the offer! Just one will do to try it; as far as stocking up, Abyss at $14 has more of my attention. That said it can never hurt to have a nice trade chip in the cellar, so I wouldn't mind two if it's not being greedy.

The tricky part is, when will we do a handoff? Last I checked we've been trying to figure out a time to get together for beers for a few months now, and as much as I'd like it to, I don't see a 1 bottle handoff being the thing that gets us actually moving...

Unless you want to come north with me to Union next Tuesday, a few of us from the 12 Days BIF are doing a share there (I think including our own @Mikexw, if he can make it out)

 

Yeah I couldn't resist taking a shot back... and seriously, that is a DAMN fine beer you've got there, as I understand it, it was a one-off/annual release, and since they're only 10 miles or so from me, it makes me very sad that I only took the chance to try it once. I'm really hoping they find a way to brew it more often.

 

Sadly, I'll be busily trying to get trucks fixed on Tuesday. Stupid jobs... But something has to fund my beer addiction.

We'll make something happen. You have kids, they make scheduling hard sometimes.

It truly does... I can get out of the house after work Mon/Tue/Wed, but from 5pm Thu until 5pm Sun, except while working on Friday, the kids are mine to watch after... that happens to span every part of the week that most people do their going out and drinking...

Well I just now finally went though all the hints and realized that I have not given one yet.

Hint #1: I have never done business with my target.

Yeah if it weren't for the fact that that schedule is because she works, as a nurse in an ER, from 7pm to 7am, every Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday night, I'd be more upset about it...

The silver lining is that with my 9-5, the only time of the whole week that one of us isn't home/awake is Friday while I'm at work when my mom comes over, really cuts down on child care costs.

And yes, it's my wife I'm talking about.
