    Share the wealth!

As long as it doesn't impact local availability

A lot of assumptions...Just because a place comes in does not mean they are gonna now cost cut and contract brew because others do it...

(Im not saying your wrong though) who knows?

I said that more or less tongue in cheek...

In case some of you haven't heard, Founders is in the beginning phases of a huge expansion to increase production exponentially. This deal should help result in more Founders being available, not the same amount being spread out to more markets.

Haha, WV has the worst craft brew distribution in the US. Does AB InBev or Miller Coors wholly own all the distributors?

Pretty much! We're getting there though, just 15 years behind. We now have Southern Tier, Green Flash & Terrapin! Wooooo, big time!

Well as a long time Founder's supporter and mugger here's my two cents. I live 5 min from the main brewery which these days already overshadows the surrounding blocks across from the main bus station downtown. Grand Rapids is my home and this should mean more money and more jobs for many here in Grand Rapids and that's a great thing.
Will it mean more availability of the specialty releases that we all seek to obtain, probably not. Growth form this influx of cash will drive up the availability of the year rounders and see All Day IPA reach souring heights.
I am thankful that as a whole they didn't sell out completely. I would be much less optimistic had InBev come in an purchase the whole operation. I will continue to support them moving forward as they are my main hometown brewery.

Though these days I wished I lived a hell of a lot closer to Odd Side Ales.

I guess I can see what the expansion plans really mean. Skip this beer in all 50 states thing, it's too spread out. Go to Europe and get the shelf space there NOW, cos that's still NEW, and it's a lot more compact.
Founders still maintains ultimate control of the party and still has complete control over steering the ship, but it has a lot more places to land in where it's going and more people to pick up for the ride.
All Day and beach holidays? It's over.

diminishing quality with more production expanding into international markets. Also precedent is set, if Founders is willing to sell 30% of their organization then they are willing to sell all of it. Perhaps not now but down the road.

You didn't read the message from Founders explaining what they are doing, did you?
