You line up before they open. You get your numbered order form as you walk in, turn it in then wait for them to get to your number. So outside of grabbing a beer before turning in your form there is no choice to be made about line/taps. This is how it worked in the past anyway.

It has been different for releases after last Winter Solstice. It's wait in line for pre-packed 6 packs this year.

Ive never done this in the past, but I got the impression reading their website that because these were pre-built 6-packs, there were no numbers or order forms. You just get in line and order/pay/pick-up as the line moves. Only real decision is qty of 6-packs.

I can never remember to differentiate between effect/affect. I am not perfect. Yet.

There's never been any real need to line up early for anything other than French toast mead. I typically show up half an hour late & get the full allotment. Also once you get thru the door you can get a beer while in line usually, you just lean over to the bar or ask a server.

At Summer Solstice they had servers waiting inside the door to take your beer order while you waited in line. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the beer purchase line went faster than the waitress so she had to find me after I had my pre-packaged 4 pk

I have never been to Winter Solstice so excuse my ignorance but are there tents outside or is everyone packed inside? I have to imagine it is crazy packed inside.

    I found my answer

"And yeah, we’ll have a tent. With live music all weekend long. So far we’ve got Reggie Smith and the After Party confirmed for Friday night and The Orbitsuns confirmed for Saturday, with more acts TBA"

Tent for sure. And they will tap the good stuff in the tent as well which is nice.

I am coming in from TX this weekend. Any chance the mix 6 packs last until Monday?

Highly unlikely. IF there are any left after the first wave I am sure people will get back in line and buy more.

In that case, anyone that lives in/near Jackson that is willing to set up a trade, let me know. I can bring some TX goodies with me for those that are interested.

This will be my first year going as I am new to the area. How good are the beers included in the prepacked 6 pack? Worth getting two 6-packs or justone for that matter? $40 is a lot for a 6-pack, just wondering if I could get some insight from you guys on the beers included and whether its worth the $$$

$40 is cheap for a Kuhnhenn six pack these days (Summer 2011: Imperial bourbon barrel braggot ~$105/6).

They are good beers but if you are unsure if you will like them all just show up at the party and drink them. Granted everyone has a different experience but I am still yet to be actually disappointed by a Kuhnhenn beer.
*Edit the ones that have been made before are good*

Two of them have never been made, so people don't know. The others you can simply look at the ratings of them located at the top of this page.

Sounds good, thanks guys. I've been over to Kuhnhenn and everything on tap was delicious, just was wondering about this release since it'd be my first time. Thanks again for the insight, maybe see ya Saturday!
