Terrapin Wake 'N' Bake 10th Anniversary

    I saw that my local store just got the Terrapin Wake 'N' Bake 10th anniversary. Is there anything different about this release than prior releases? I searched the internet and can not find anything regarding the "10th Anniversary" being different. I called the store and they were not really sure about the release. Anyone have any info on this one?

    Don't think it's any different, just the 10th year WnB has been around.

    I don't know I saw it on their brew news blog...I was trying to decide if I should drive over there before work. I may wait and hope it is there tomorrow unless I find something that makes it stand out then I will nicely ask my GF to go pick some up :slight_smile:

    I was thinking that it may be the case but when I called they specifically told me that it was the "10th Anniversary" but could not tell me anything about it

    You never know, I have been following Terrapin pretty closely for their French Toasted WnB released - and I have yet to see anything other than the fact that this is their 10th year making it. And that the brewery was going to be having a special party/release on Nov 22nd.

    Only variants of WnB I've heard of recently are the Cinnamon Roll'd (last years), French Toasted (this years), and I believe their Instagram photos showed a BB WnB to be released at some point.

    Its not "special" but its freaking amazing, go buy it if you like coffee stouts. Blows FBS and Peche Mortel, both of which I love, out of the water.

    Same beer as always just a new label commemorating the milestone. Overdone with coffee, zero oatmeal, thin, watery mess. I sell a ton of it even though it's the most mediocre beer in their lineup. Just my opinion though.

    I did I guess. Replace coffee with chocolate and lower the ABV.

    Kind of agree, so far, though I've only had 1 bottle of the 2014. Thin, coffee intense, oatmeal is lost.

    2014 FBS, IMO, destroys 2014 WnB, and takes no prisoners. Of course, that is just my opinion.

    Agree. Terrapin's only good stout was Big Daddy Vladdy.

    There are definitely better coffee stouts than WnB out there, but do you really think it's the "most mediocre" beer in Terrapin's lineup? I can think of several that WnB is much better than. Moohoo and Hopzilla immediately come to mind.

    I really don't like anything Terrapin has done in the past few years at all. But that's just me.

    I was very disappointed with 2014 FBS, hopefully 2014 WnB won't disappoint. 2013 was awesome, and I feel that the beer is better than FBS in general.

    I was going to pass on this. I have never had this but have had FBS and since there were many comparisons between the two on this thread. I had mentioned it to the GF she went to the store while I was at work last night and picked up a four pack of the WnB and pack Backwoods! She was very excited to find both of them. Cant wait to crack into them tomorrow which happens to be my birthday!
