    Hey all,
Julio's posted last week that they got Cascade Cranberry and Figaro in.

Anyone seen Cranberry elsewhere, specifically anywhere in Boston? Blanchards in Allston had Figaro (for $41 holy crap) but no Cranberry. Really want to find some to try.

    Thanks!

Cascade is one my favorites, and that is unfortunate. I can't refuse.

Craft Beer Cellar Westford has Cranberry for $32 last time I checked and Figaro $39.50

Why are their prices so ridiculous? I've only had the kriek and I wasn't a huge fan. I've seen Lamvinus and Fou foune around here for less.

Thanks guys, doesn't look like anywhere in Boston but I'll keep my eyes peeled. Worst case scenario I'll try Yankee in Attleboro when I head home for the holidays.

They are definitely pricey. I'm tempted to pick up Figaro but where I saw it it was $40. Where are you seeing Cantillon around here?

At the barrel house, bottles are $25 for Kriek, Apricot, Strawberry, etc. and ~$30 for the other stuff like Sang Royale. Not sure why they are so pricey here. I brought back a case when I visited Portland a few months ago, awesome place to spend an afternoon or evening if you're in that part of the country and enjoy sours.

The money isn't so bad when you think about all the blessed heartburn you get with each bottle. These are strong beers meant for sharing, but I have trouble sharing.

Not recently, but last year in Maine there was a large drop for The Festival, and another one last winter.

Ball Square Fine Wines had Cranberry, Figaro, and Kriek yesterday when I was there a few bottles of each. Couldn't justify the price but if you are looking for someone to share a bottle with let me know :grinning:

I looked at those prices of Figaro and Cranberry.....then walked over to the bourbon section and got a bottle of Elijah Craig 12 year for less than those beers.

I had a Figaro in my hand today at Redstone, thinking it would be a little over $30. Then the manager told me that one was actually $42. No thanks. This was going to be a holiday splurge for me, but I can't do more than $30. This coming from a guy who doesn't even hesitate at anything $20 or less most of the time if I really want it. I'll wait for EBF to get my Cascade fix.

These price points for sours are getting crazy, but IMO, I'd rather have 2 bottles of Oude Tart than drop $40+ on one overpriced sour, no matter how good it is. Hopefully people are like me and vote with their wallets. Distributors (and brewers) have to notice that these are going to rot on the shelf at those prices in 90% of stores....

    Dear American sour beer producers,
If you're more expensive than your Belgian counterparts, you're doing it wrong.

@Jslay013 there is a little know secret if you go five minutes down from Redstones there is a store called Rapid Liquors it doesn't have everything Redstones has but what it has is generally a lot cheaper. I think the Cascade were under $30 and though I will kick myself for revealing it they also do holds when they announce beers so they announce Lunch and you have a chance to ask them to hold it. I nearly fainted seeing the 765 ml Madame rose 2014 for about $15.

@Janeinma, I have probably driven past that place 1000 times and never stopped in. Might just have to swing by later this afternoon... Thanks for the tip!
