VBS: If I ever need a Consecration fix and don't want to deal with the pain in the ass of trying to find it, I'm just going to drink this now... this beer is excellent. Cheers all

I wouldn't open all of these at once, I want to let a couple of them collect a bit of age at the very least. With that said, you may be aware that I have the opposite problem of a beer shortage, so ultimately the answer is: "when are you getting here?"

We should do a BBQ at the shore summer time.

Last call for Sixterhood signups. I'm out drinking tonight (for shame!), so will cutoff tomorrow morning whenever I get out of bed  sorry for the delayed signup period but I was really hoping for a certain local to be released and it finally was announced...

Sorry for the nube question, what is sixterhood? Something other than the not-summer 6er BIF?

Guess it doesn't much matter, I'm in!

I'm totally down for this, The Locals BS 1.0! I'm sure @jawas would suggest Cape May, but I'm going to suggest Ocean City, NJ. For the pure irony that it's a dry town.

The Sixterhood is our "Traditional BIF", where there is one box that makes the rounds around the entire group. In our case, instead of having a list at the start and crossing off names, we are doing this by each sender doing "sign ups" and sending to someone that wants a box from that state, after adding the recipient's name to a list that started empty. Once we get to a point where no one "signs up" (either due to lack of interest or all the names of group participants being on the list) the box's originator receives it back.

If you want to sign up, you send the current sender (in this case @treznor) your info in a BM that tells him you would like to receive the box.

    edit:
Also, I'm going to start another one of these that is the SixterCAN; whereas the Sixterhood is a 6-bottle shipper, so you send 6 bottles no more no less, mine will be a bit more like the SWTFYW version, a "main" box inside a much larger box that includes extras and swag. In SWTFYW the "main" box is a 12-bottle shipper, in my case it's a 6-can shipper, so it has to include at least 6 cans.

OK, sorry for the delay, but...

HOLY CRAP! @Louis121 , where have you been all my life?

I few weeks ago, I think someone started a thread about what brewery have you never tried but wanted to, and Pipeworks was at the top of my list. Well this is what I unwrapped last night...

Revolution Bean Gene -- this was a want -- BBA Porter with coffee beans
Pipeworks Nelson Sauvin -- this wasn't a want, but that was only because I don't list 10 beers from the same brewery
Half Acre Big Hugs -- this sounds delicious -- I am "at work" now, but I am pretty sure this one had a label that you can peel off and see another one beneath, I'm interested in what's under there (if it wasn't this, it was one of the others)
Pipeworks Ninja vs. Unicorn -- this is huge want, partly because of the style, partly because of the brewery, and partly because of the extremely cool name -- and I've seen a bunch of you check it in on untappd
Pipeworks Mocha Abduction -- this was another huge WANT!! It might have been #1 overall on my wishlist, I am so excited to try it!
Half Acre Space IPA -- this is the one in the growler -- another WANT that may or may not last until my kids come home to visit next week.

and in a separate box I received a Half Acre #properglassware mug and sticker.

Thank you so much to @Louis121 for this ridiculous box. Also to @UcDru for making him my sender, and to whoever the heck invited him to join this BIF!

I am glad you liked the box! I had a lot of fun filling it. The Big Hugs is an annual release and you are correct about the label. I just happened to be going to the release last Sunday so I figured it would be perfect for the box. The glass is associated with the annual release too and I think they make less of those then the actual beer. The beer is made with a local Chicago coffee company Dark Matter so the glass is supposed to be for coffee and/or stouts (or so I was told). Cheers!

    NBO - Sixterhood trip #10

Based on the guesses, a new Sixterhood target has been chosen! Thanks to all for guessing. The number of miles I've flown this year is 113k, so try and figure out if you won based on how close you hit

    Hints:
    1) The Sixterhood is not going to a new state
    2) I put off ending signups hoping that my local brewery would release one of their most anticipated beers (though oddly enough, not the most anticipated of -this- year) and they did (or rather, will by the time I ship next week).

The kudos are to come my way for bringing Lou into the BIF. He's a great guy and an awesome beer advocate even though his time on BA is relatively new. @Louis121 thanks for making me and you look good  can't wait for our tasting on the 23rd.
