Just heard on our local news that Bells was going to start distro in California starting February of 2015.

Congrats Californians, you're getting some great beer.

I think Southern California has been getting Bell's since early this fall. So happy that we finally get Expedition and the planet series is showing up.

Must say I'm interested to see how a big fish in a small pond can compete in what may be the biggest craft beer pond of them all. I've tried many of Bell's beers are they are wonderful... but can they stand up in the true side-by-side of everyday marketplace against all of SoCals brands?

More great beers on the shelves is all that matters and Bell's makes some great beers.

That's one off the list. Now I just need Founder's, Maine and Jack's Abby to get out there so I can feel 100% okay with moving to Cali and never miss the east coast again.

I know some places sold out of Two Hearted the Day it hit shelves in San Diego, so I think they'll do just fine.

That's all that matters to us as consumers. Bell's is probably also interested in whether people BUY those beers

But while this is great for a limited release beer, it's repeat sales that drive a beer like Two Hearted. I'm interested to see if people choose it again... and then again, and again, as their 6-pack IPA when given so, so many other West Coast IPA options. I can't honestly say that I would.

Great, I love Expedition stout and I am eager to try some of their other stouts.

San Diego has bells. Now adding 5 more counties: Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and Ventura.

It's been collecting dust on a lot of shelves since then.

Bell's has been sitting on shelves in SD collecting dust for awhile. Not sure it will do better elsewhere really, but nice to have a few of their beers (or just Expedition really).

I have no idea why, but lots of places in San Diego try to sell the six packs as individual bottles.

I like their old ale and porter. It'll be nice to be able to pick them up off the shelf now.

I bought one six pack of two hearted and then went back to buying my local stuff. It's not any better, IMO.

Two Hearted Ale is probably my second or third favorite IPA. I'm glad I won't have to run down to SD to pick up a pack anymore (I live in Riverside, which sucks, but at least we're one of the few counties in their Phase II expansion).
