You haven't perfected the art of timing your beer runs for while the wife is running errands.

    "Dear Valued Customer,

I am sorry to say, due to circumstances outside of my control, that I was forced to cancel the Goose Island Bourbon County Stout and Barley Wine raffle. It seems that a customer sent a copy of the raffle email to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board questioning the legality of it. A State Police officer showed up on Wednesday and ordered us to stop selling the raffle tickets immediately, offer a refund back to all participants, and cancel the drawing. All of us at Save-Mor Beer & Pop feel terrible about this, not only for you, our loyal customers, but also for the Make-A-Wish foundation, to whom the proceeds were going.

As a result, we are offering a full refund for those of you who bought a raffle ticket. Please bring in your stub and we will give you your money back.

Additionally, I am personally making a donation of $300 to Make a Wish, to make up the raffle ticket sale proceeds. If you would like your ticket sale to remain as a donation there is no action for you to take. All proceeds from unreturned raffle tickets will be donated to Make a Wish.

The good news is that we still have the two cases of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout and Barley Wine.

BOTH CASES WILL BE RELEASED ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 13th at 11am.

This will be first come, first serve, and the first lucky individual may only purchase one of the cases.

Again, you have our sincere apologies for the cancellation of the raffle. Thank you for your continued business, and your loyalty to the Save-Mor family!

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me at ([email protected]).

    Steve"

I got that email too. Anyone know how it went down there this morning? Seemed like a really bad idea.

I was the only one there till about 1030-ish when someone came and got the 2nd case. Only 1 or 2 others showed up after they were claimed. Very surprised at the lack of interest. Because of that dudes dickness, I'm pretty much set on bcbs this year. Unless coffee or vanilla make an appearance.

House of 1k Beers just got in BCBBW singles. No idea how much they cost or quantity, sure they'll go fast.

Just stopped at the south hills market district and they still have BCBS on tap. The lady then tells me that I have to have a "full meal" in order to get a 10oz pour. I asked if a pizza was considered a "full meal" and she said she didn't think so. Crazy!

Wow this is something I've never heard and it angers me. In order for you to be privileged enough to PAY for a beer from us you must first order a full meal? What if you just came from dinner?

It has to do with the PA liquor laws. They can sell you beer to go, but if you want to drink there, you have to eat. But they are not really clear on what you have to eat. Plus the food is in another department. So you have to go order food and hope it qualifies you to buy a draft beer.

Your are wrong about this. They must have food for sale, but nothing in the law requires anyone to eat it.

I may be wrong, but they will not sell you a draft beer without the purchase of a meal. Maybe they are taking it a little too far. All I know is I want a damn BCBS draft!

I went shopping Grove City last evening, and went to Springhouse Inn for dinner. They wound up having BCBBW in bottles. Nice little surprise.

When im at Robinson Market District and have a draft they never say anything about food. I have my draft and go. They just have to offer food.

The Robinson market district is basically considered a bar now. The others have a 2 drink limit and you must eat food.
