Willoughby brewing, home of the famous peanut butter cup coffee porter, released nut smasher imperial stout today. Nut smasher is an imperial stout flavored generously with chocolate, peanut butter and coffee. Coming in at 11% abv, this is a major upgrade to their peanut butter cup porter. Nut smasher was released in 22oz bottles in very limited quantity

Had it on tap and got my bottles. 3 bottle limit. 500 bottle count. Sold out in an hour.

It's amazing. Decadent peanut butter. Lovely milk chocolate. Coffee takes a back seat, but keeps the beer in check by adding some drying bitterness to balance the sweet peanut butter and chocolate. Incredible creamy mouthfeel. Beautiful head. The 11% is hidden very well.

Got some of this too. Man I thought Hoppin' Frog Infusion A was fabulous. This blew my mind. Wish I had more, glad I got some.

Sold out in an hour? Guess I shouldn't be surprised but I am. Thought about going, glad I didn't.

This beer reminds me of the first time I penetrated a woman

If I had to compare it to my first time, I'd have to say this beer was much better.

If this beer reminded me of my first women it would be seafood infused. And would almost make me throw up. Anyways I am pissed I had no clue this was coming out or I would have went.

I know it's my palate but with peanut butter r cup porter sometimes it's tastes creamy and pretty much just like peanut butter and I love it and sometimes it just takes like coffee with carbonation.

The nut smasher (which is what I nicknamed my fiancé) sounds like s great improvement. So make more you bastsrds

Why are you glad? I know you hate crowds but this was a totally great afternoon...such a laid back release - showed up 20 minutes before doors opened, waited in line for 20 minutes, got several pours on draft and some tasty grub, place emptied out by 1:00 or so. Just saying it was NOTHING like what you're picturing from the "sold out in an hour" comments.

Mostly because I couldn't get there until 2 or so and would have went out there for nothing... and I hate crowds. I seriously thought, given the location, time and the fact I didn't hear much about this, that it would sit around for at least most of the day. I underestimated beer peeps for the last time.

I need this in my life =/

Anyone still have a bottle, and need something limited from the Southeast....I can try at least.

I read this and couldn't help but laugh. I'm a child, I know. The Beer itself sounds awesome though.

This was definitely a painless release. Especially considering they don't bottle beer. And the fact that there were only about 10 crowlers of peanut butter cup Porter available and I snagged a few didn't make it worse. But this nut smasher is something special

I wasn't able to get there until 2. So no bottles were available. But at least I was able to try it on tap. It's definitely better than the porter. But I took a growler of that home. Oh well, maybe next time.

    Sounds so good.

Probably won't get to try it, but that's okay. There's plenty of beer out there for me to drink.

    Cheers
