Westbrook's 4th Anniversary beer?

Fruit cake old time? Do tell. For whatever reason, the old times are criminally underrated

 

I actually didn't have it, so I don't have much else to add. I should have asked, my bad.

And I thought the Rummy Old Time was ridiculously good. Apple brandy was tasty too. I'm surprised they really didn't catch on for the masses. Now personally, I didn't care for the wild ones, but thats just me.

 

Isn't that a bit redundant? Kinda like "Easily Agitated Raver"?

 

I had the Fruit Cake Old Time yesterday and thought it was good. I had not had any of the previous 'Old Times', but was told (if I remember correctly) that this was a double-barrel apple brandy blend (apple brandy and grumpy old time).

 

Really enjoyed the Fruitcake Old Time and the Rum BA Anfernee. Once those ran out they tapped the Rye BA Anfernee and Rum Smoking Gun. I liked the Rum BA Anfernee much better than the Rye. Also not too impressed with Rum Gun. While I was there I did have some of the 4th anniversary (excellent!) and some ET Bourbon Biscotti Break. All in all a great time was had and I enjoyed drinking some great beers at Westbrook yesterday.

 

Would this be easy enough to get if I'm driving through Atlanta the day after Christmas?

 

Probably not. I doubt we will have it by Christmas in ATL. I haven't heard of anyone getting it, but admittedly, haven't looked hard.

 

Sorry for the extreme sarcasm...I couldn't resist. Worst case, I'm sure they could rename the beer. Regardless, Westbrook doesn't need any marketing anymore anyway based on their skyrocketing reputation...if "Westbrook builds it, people will come".

 

Anyone seen it at southern spirits or anywhere close to the nc/sc boarder line near Charlotte?

 

@gothedistance mentioned that Monday would be the day the SC border spots would start getting it. She works for the distributor that supplies Fort Mill (among others).

I will not buy it all. You will have to worry about those hoarders that would though. I will likely only buy a bottle or two. For personal and share consumption.

 

Does anybody know where to find this beer in Charleston today?

 

Orange Bliss was easy enough to pick up at Southern Spirits last year so I am holding out hope it is still there Wednesday. Just grabbing a couple bottles myself.

 

CBX is best bet. Then probably bottles in Mt. P.

 

CBX was down to just a few bottles yesterday afternoon, so they may me out already. TW doesn't have them yet (I went by this morning), but I have no idea about Bottles.

 

Frugal MacDougal has it now.

 

We got it in Alabama today. Local store only got 5 cases.

 

Back in the Upstate of S.C. today, as well.
