Even though Mexi Cake isn't BA, I thought BB Imperial Mayan tasted very similar.

VBS? Already had a great lakes christmas ale, but just opened this from round 3

This is one of the beers I've been really excited to try (and one of the few I have left from that box), but it's honestly kinda underwhelming. Nice slight tartness to it, but otherwise not much flavor going on. Leaves a very dry mouthfeel also

    Home-made ravioli's for Christmas? Check!

Clean the hell out of the new(to me) fridge, so it can be used for Christmas prep(then beer  )? Check!

    Change my oil? Check!

Boil & breakdown the chicken for escarole soup? Check!

Buy lights for the gigantic Christmas tree? Check!

Drink beer? Uhhh... I was an epic fail at that today.

He sent me one of those in my round 3 box... fantastic, if a bit boozy

Yeah, it is a little boozy, but at 12.5% it's not nearly as boozy as it could be. Very unique flavor too; I can really taste that it's made with rice but the hops are still forefront.

I do make it confusing because I am originally from Pottsville and have lived on the ESVA as well, with relatives in Delaware too, so I am always back in the Eastern Part of PA, as well as DelMarVa.

Anyone know how difficult it will be to get the Westbrook anniversary beer?

I put up a ISO on Sat and had 4 responses. Looks like it will be widely available, no limits at the release party. Betting some in this forum from SC might just be able to hook you up. Good luck.

Oh nice thanks! I *may* be going to HF Wednesday so I may have some good FT offerings!

Not to say you shouldn't be generous, but HF is probably overkill for what those bottles will command in trade. From what I'm hearing it's going to be a pretty widely available beer with a huge quantity.

You (and Dave, and other recent joiners) might also be interested to know that this group, though not able to get anything, is pretty good at filling various needs like this. Quite a few of us have essentially sworn off the "viper pit" (ISO:FT forum) because we're able to be taken care of within this group more easily and without any of the value squeezing you often find over there. It at least serves as a great starting point before going that direction.

I just went to the viper pit. Looking for some things that based on location I figured most in here couldn't get. We will see what happens.

The only problem with that is we don't have anyone from SC in the group. I'm in NC but NC doesn't get Westbrook distro at all. I get down to Charlotte (and thus am close to the NC/SC border) a decent bit, but won't be any time soon. The only other option would be GA. Our GA members have taken a hit as of lake, but we do have @jdhowe in the group from GA.

Did you hit up @mklisz about HF? He seems to go fairly regularly.

Nope but he and I just traded and I'm looking for growlers from HF and with the low limits its tought to come by. I figured I would give it a shot anyways. Does anyone know how tough it is to get beers like Mastermind, Second Fiddle, trillium and Lawson's stuff?

Don't have any growlers of my own unfortunately. The Fiddlehead and Sip of Sunshine shouldn't be too hard to trade for if you've got limited release, out of NE distro stuff. Trillium has been closed for a number of weeks due to a licensing issue so that's not even worth trading for; everything out there is old.
