Repetes on the north side should also have it, for those who don't want to purchase an entire sixer.

I worked out this morning with mike owner of repetes and he said he hadn't gotten it yet

Not sure I understand here. Aphasia only really has one meaning. Why would Shorts name a beer without A) knowing what a word means and B) that it could be offensive? What were they going for?

Or C) maybe people need to chill out and not worry about something like that.

Shorts meant no harm and the label has nothing to do with Aphasia at all, people just get up in arms about everything nowadays. Up next is Kuhnhenns to get rid of 4th Dementia.

Beer world might be in trouble if the PC police start patrolling labels. So tired of people being offended or "disrespected" so easily. Cheers to Shorts for taking the high road I guess.

The question is not whether they meant harm. If Shorts released Cerebral Palsy IPA and you had a child with cp, would you be inclined to buy a six pack. Offended (or potentially offending people) is really not good business.

I'd buy it if it was called citrebral palsy.

Trust me, no harm was intended.

Is it true the message asking to change the name was a hand written letter?

    I'll get my coat...

I have to say, this beer is pretty dangerous stuff. At 9%, it goes down way too easy.

Finally checking back after the holiday. That's weird, because it's where I bought mine last Friday. I told the guy at the counter I was looking for it and he said, "Yeah, we like just got it in and it hasn't been put in the case yet." Drank it Sunday night and assumed that it'd be on the floor by Monday. Not trying to start anything, just didn't want people thinking "this newbie is talking out of his behind" or anything like that.

If you still want to try this beer, @HopHeadHerman is pouring samples at Peter's Gourmet in Grandville until about 8:00PM. I was just there and he has about 10-12 other Short's beers available for sampling.

I've seen this on the shelf in the last week. Was it supposed to get yanked? I better find an attorney. Pretty sure dirty bastard was aimed at me.

This was my favorite new release this year that I had not tried previously. An absolutely awesome beer spot on for the style. Please brew this one in 2015

Just cracked a bottle of this, with a year and a couple of months of age, it's tasting phenomenal to me. The malty/molasses sweetness and the fig are so damn tasty.

Would leave to see Short's put this back in the lineup, even if has to be under a different name.

I got excited at the thread, then realized it was a bump. Wish this was being brewed again this year.
