Nugget Nectar in 16oz cans (January)

such a bright colored can..... can't wait for the delicious nectar.

 

Its always good , some years seem better than others. I will also say there are batch differences and some batches are not great compared to other batches the same year. Either way 16oz is great

With what Troegs has been putting out recently (Blizzard of hops and Troegenator) I have full faith that this years Nugget Nectar will be something special.

 

you might not always be able to believe all you hear from former tour guides and current tour guides...beer will roll out over approximately three weeks to keep as fresh as possible in all markets. cans start getting filled on 1/13/15, so their rollout will be from that date through early february.

Seriously though, my infinite beer shopping list just got longer.

Yes you are correct, I should have clarified that I asked about the available at the brewery date for both cans and bottles. Sorry.

Hey @cavedave Gonna paste this info in a certain BIF thread...

 

Granted there will be year to year variations in hops crops, barley crops, even slight variations batch to batch of the same barley in different batches malted. But is the difference people post about a difference in the recipe or a difference year-to-year in their perception. I would argue at least some of it is perception. For example, with NN, first time I had it I was still relatively new to hop bombs. Now, having expanded my palate significantly, what seemed over the top hops back then is bound to seem less so simply by comparsion -- not to prior years of itself, but to other hoppy beers.

 

Looking forward to this, if I can ever get rid of this flu. Pounders will be cool. Don't think I got around to grabbing some last season.

 

I totally agree, I'm not a huge fan of Nugget Nectar, but then again I'm not a huge Troegs fan in general. I think there are better options out there.

I have my fingers crossed and I hope you are right here. I personally have been 'lucky' in that I have never purchased a 'bad' case of Nugget Nectar but I sure felt sorry for those who did buy 'bad' batches over the past few years.

Love Troegs canning NN & Troegenator, but unless I'm not looking hard enough I have yet to see their canned stuff in NE Ohio

 

The sixtel I got last year was spot on.
