Pretty sure Hall's got Love Child #2 a week ago. I would call Fern and see if he still has any left before you make a drive out there.

    Cheers,
    Chad

Will do. Was kinda going by their RB posting to figure out when it hit the shelf and I didn't see it with the weekly releases. I saw Saison Brett there last week and Boulevard's primary posting on BA's Releases suggested that places that received Saison Brett last week should get Love Child this week.

Hoping they forgot or are getting it in tomorrow.

Getting some in tomorrow at WFM Kirby, along with 2012 Saison Brett, and Lips of Faith Brett Beer (The Lost Abbey + New Belgium Collab).
    .
It'll be kept in the back (mainly because I don't have any room on the shelf right now), so you'll have to ask for it.

I believe retail for Love Child will be $17.99, Saison Brett $12.99, and Brett Beer $8.49.

Well, I was told they'd get the LC #2 on Friday, but you missed the rest of them. They have the Saison-Brett for sure.

He didn't post about it on RB and I haven't heard from S&K or Lonestar about it either...hmmm.

This stuff is really, really good. The barrel flavors aren't overpowering (which I think is true for many BA beers) and it's probably the best I've had from Boulevard.

If you like JK Boxer's, you will enjoy this thoroughly. It'd be fun to compare them side by side.

I just got a text from S&K in Plano saying they just got their LC #2 shipment and it's "VERY limited"

Yeah I just picked up a bottle of that and the Brett Beer. I think he only got a case.

He told me he got a case of the Love Child. As of 5 p.m. Friday, he only had four bottles left so I bet it is all gone by now. Having drank both beers listed in Greg's post, the Love Child is definitely worth the money, while the Brett Beer is very meh.

San Antonio isn't getting LC2, so I'm ISO this if anyone's interested in a trade.

If anyone in DFW missed this, I did see a couple of bottles at Central Market in Southlake today.

Was up in Indiana this past weekend, Rye on Rye and Love Child #2 just sitting on store shelves up there. They had so many other options though it's no wonder that really good stuff sits around. Rye on Rye has been gone from here for months, and LC#2 is pretty dried up as well. Fortunate we're getting more good beers here, but sure wish we had selection like the midwest.

Funny, I just yesterday came back from a weeks trip to KY(Louisville) and IN(Clarksville) and agree how odd it was to see so many of these beers just sitting on the shelves. It was so tempting to grab another bottle of LC#2, but with so many other non-TX available offerings(Founders, GI, FFF, Bruery, Hoppin Frog, Dark Horse... could go on and on, but I'll add Cantillon even), I had to pass it up. Let's just say I pretty much tripled my monthly beer budget this past week with what I brought back.

The Midwest's(add KY as well) distribution is so unreal compaired to ours... I can't wait to go back.

You found Cantillon on a shelf? I didn't think anywhere in the US still had "shelf" Cantillon's available. Where did you find that, some rural area?

Nah, the Cantillon I brought back was through an ip trade with a BA from S IN.

The reason I included it on that list was because I was told, by a Clarksville, IN beer store employee that I had "just missed" the last of some classic they got in.

I suppose she could have been bs'ing me... but even the trading partner told me he got his off the shelf/local.

I picked up Cantillon from KY, on shelf, back in December.

It used to sit around year-round before the BA/Cantillon hype train.

Oh, stores DO get Cantillon in, but 6 or 12 bottles at a time, so what they do get disappears instantly and is bought by regulars or the store's employees. It's not really a "shelf" beer. Your trading partner was more than likely in the know.
