Apologies in advance for shitting up the BBT thread, but Rahr was never really that good to begin with, and now they've ruined their best beer by sacrificing quality for higher production while simultaneously jacking up the price 50%+? I hoped they might learn from last year's disaster that is still sitting on shelves at several local places. That's the kind of shit your core customers remember. Operating like that in the current craft beer environment when there are so many amazing options and such stiff competition is a recipe for eventual bankruptcy. Why would anyone ever choose Rahr over Community or Lakewood? Or hell, even Deep Ellum or Franconia? Not to mention Austin or Houston where the "local" appeal isn't there.

So I missed out today at Beer and Wine World in Mansfield. they said for the very first time he had a line this morning. He did not have a line for Black Friday for BCBS and the BCBW.

If any one has an extra let me know.. Have a Westy 12, Russian River, Bruery, etc..

I drove back to Houston this afternoon so wont be back in town until new years week but willing to ship if needed.

I'm in town from Denver, would really like to snag a bottle of this. I know I'm kindof late to the game on this release but if anyone has a hidden gem of a store, and doesent mind sharing, please PM me. I don't have a ton but I can throw you a death by coconuts or a few bomb!(is that still on a shelves here?)if that's worth anything. Also, if it's north Dallas or Carrolton or Denton that would be ideal since I'm staying around lewisville. Shoot me a message f your able of if you want to grab a beer and hang out!

I know a guy who works in a beer store who loves coconut beers. Can't guarantee he has any BBT left, but I can try to put you in touch with him if things don't work out with JJFoodie.

This beer works for me. I think it has a good level of bourbon forwardness that doesn't need to mellow for a year. I enjoy the base beer and adding the bourbon is a nice bit of complexity. I've had my fair share of BBA stouts, and this is not the best, but it is still a great representation of the style. Also, finding it for $11.99 and $12.99 is reasonable for me. I am surprised it is dropped to 9.8%, must be blended with regular or some sort of other beer as regular Temptress is 10%.

Rahr dropped the ball on BBAWW IMO. I used to love the beer, and it no longer warrants the price point they're selling it for.

My memory is terrible but dident bbaww use to cost several dollars less? I remember last year they jacked the price up a bit and I guess are staying there? What percentage is that beer even barrel aged?

I thought regular Temptress was 9.1% and with the barre-aging it went up to 9.8%.
