Alert notification when a submitted place has been accepted

    Would be nice to know when submitted bars/breweries etc. have been approved by a simple alert notification, as it can be tiring to click through the Places > Approval Queue to check whether or not it is still on the list or not.

    Probably a good idea. I'm sure I've submitted many places and then totally forgot about rating them.

    And it's doubly annoying when you add the place first, and then someone (who obviously can't freaking read) adds it again later to the queue, and is then credited with adding it when it goes through! Rabble rabble rabble!

    As someone that is one of the approvers of places added, I only have this occur when the later entry has all (and more) of the information about the place that the initial one lacks - not referring to either of the people that have commented just above me in this thread but it would be things like zip code, twitter, website, full address, telephone, etc. You guys would probably be amazed at the number of places in the queue that lack some or most of the information and requires the approvers to "fix it up."

    Also, there are a number of places that are "duplicates" because of city spelling (St Marys vs. Saint Marys) so the original is left and updated with any missing info the new suggested entry provides.

    I don't doubt this, but I've had a few local submissions that have had a low turnover rate, even when I've completed the forms fully and correctly.

    Regardless, knowing when my submissions (even though they are few and far between) have been accepted would be nice.

    It used to occur, for places as well as pics, if I recall correctly....
