Now that would be amazing, I was never able to try mikhails odd but heard the BA espresso was fantastic. I loved Fyodors classic tho with just the standard RIS in bourbon barrels!

me too! Maybe it's just a smoke screen and we'll still get something good!

If this is indeed BA AB in 12 oz bottles, then I'm looking forward to it (I don't buy bombers, so I didn't get it when available earlier).

I enjoy lower ABV brews. Not that 7.8% is low, but it's lower than most bourbon barrel aged beer.

And there hasn't been oaked AB available in northern VA since early last summer. I was told stone stopped making it...is that correct?

All we can do is rub the Arrogant Bastard bottle and hope that @StoneGreg will come out of it to answer our wishes/demands . . . I mean questions.

I had some fresh Oaked AB in April of this year.

I was one of the seemingly few who loved BBA AB. The subtle barrel accents; deep, dark fruit, aged flavors, with a crisp snap of some fresh beer blended with it.

Well if it is Arrogant Bastard I hope they use fresher barrels. The version in the box set tasted like they they used 3rd or 4th fill barrels as there was hardly any barrel flavor at all.

This thread was like an emotional roller coaster. First I was intrigued, then excited about the possibility that it wasn't BBA Arrogant Bastard, then ultimately unenthused at the news that it was BBA Arrogant Bastard. I was pulling for anything else, really.

I will say the orange lettering tinge, makes it seem like WS, but is already partially BA. There is also the issue of what # it would be. I guess 3.0 and the special Berlin edition is outside the #'ing system. However, people have already speculated about this in the thread and it could just be an effect of the 'shopped image.

The lettering itself looks like AB-esque and with the above mentioned news, I think we found our winner.

    "Hooray!"

I just hope stone thickens up their beers. They are all really good, but if the stouts were thicker they would rival some of the top dogs out there, imo.

I'm surprised they can use the word "Kentucky." Haven't other brewers run in to issues with this?

Whether it is the IRS or not (it is an odd year and that usually means variant) I will pick up some regardless.

However, I hope it is IRS!!!!

Been a while since i had w00tstout. I remember the first time i had IRS and thought it was thick but then this past year i thought it was on the thinner side of imperial stouts. I also, had a 2013 not too long ago and thought the same. Maybe its just me.
