I have a weird combo myself. I would have to say my favorite out-of-state brewery is Stone. But my other favorite is a local spot: Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co.

It's a fairly new place(just hitting their 2nd year) but they have blown up recently and I am loving to see the little place get some recognition and success. They make not only some killer brews but their food is awesome!

Like a few other people on this thread, I'm a bit of a homer myself. My two favorites are Hardywood Park Craft Brewery in Richmond and AleWerks Brewing Company in Williamsburg (so awesome to have one of the state's best breweries within a 15 minute drive from William & Mary's campus). While both breweries have solid year round lineups, there's nothing mind-blowing. It's their seasonals and reserve beers, however, that put them on par with any other well-established brewery in the country, in my opinion (especially Hardywood given that they've only been around since 2011). If I were to look outside of the state, I'd be hard-pressed to get it down to just two. I can say it'd be down to some obvious choices like Stone, Sierra Nevada, Dogfish, Avery, Founders, Great Divide, The Bruery, and Firestone Walker. A sentimental pick might be Deschutes because Mirror Pond Pale Ale and Black Butte Porter were the first two beers I ever had.

I would have to say The Bruery and Cantillon. Stone and Avery are close behind. There are so many great breweries - I am sure my list will change next month.

I'll say Lawson's Finest, because DS is my favorite beer, and New Glarus, because I think it's cool that they don't sell outside of Wisconsin when they easily could.

Crooked Stave and Dechutes...one because im a sour nerd and have been blown away by almost everything CS makes.... and Dechutes because consistency and quality along with a fair price goes a LONG way in craft beer loyalty plus they don't really make a stinker in their entire lineup
