Found a small treasure trove of Essex beers so i'm working my way through some offerings from Brentwood Brewery, Nethergate and Farmers Ales.

    How about you fellows?

Have a bit yet to go, but have a Hoptimum on my mind. Maybe before that, before the palate is destroyed, The Orkney Dark Island.

Trying Castle Rock's black gold which to be honest is more like a dark mild than a stout, wish there was such a thing as hop cordial to make my leftovers vb drinkable

Schlenkerla Ur-Bock so far. Flying Dog Wildeman Farmhouse IPA at some point too plus a 750ml of Westmalle Tripel to be wedged in there as well.

I'm starting off with boring macro - Tsingtao. But I'll move on to something more interesting in a bit....

The Wildeman Farmhouse IPA is tasty stuff - I had this on tap about a month ago when I was in Amsterdam (at In de Wildeman). Also picked up a bottle when it turned up in York recently.

Am I right in thinking that's an Oakham brew? I picked up something new from them just the other day - a huge bottle called Green Devil IPA (just like an American bomber). I'll be trying it soon; it looks tasty!

Its Oakham and it would grow hairs on an old sailor's wife's chest its that good and with the breweries fantastic track record I am quite green eyed about the green demon.

Oakleaf's Hole-hearted has been consumed, and I'm now on a Goose Island IPA. Yum

A new beer: Hardknott's Colonial Mayhem. A hoppy 'mild' - a bit of a contradiction there....

I drank my last Courage Imperial Russian Stout from May 2011. I wish I had cases of it!

Gah! I would love to try this. Maybe I'll find it lurking somewhere in the UK....

What?? It's hard to find in the UK? There are a few US based online stores that carry it.

Well, I'm not sure how hard it is to find over here but I've never seen it. Could be because I'm up north and Young's is down south? Also, I don't know but it might have been a one-off.....

Exporting loads to the US and not sending any your way(up north) is qfu.

    I surely hope it isn't a one-off...

I'm from down south and i've never seen it anywhere, even in a shop that sells Stone beers :stuck_out_tongue:

Young's apparently exported the lot to the US because they felt interest and demand there would be high. And from what I understand that has been the case. I don't think there'd be the same level of interest here as crazy as that may appear.

I thought that was a mess. Let me know your own verdict.
