Like @cetherid said next year could be completely different, but I got there at 9 AM and got my allotment. The bottle cutoff looked to be somewhere around 10 - 10:30 by my estimate but someone who arrived later can chime in.

 

That's because they wanted the text to be cleared out so that they could move those that were already "in" to the tent so that there was more room.
I hope a lot of people stayed because so many people were getting bottles & bolting that they were very quickly under capacity even as more people walked up

 

@LiquidTable just looked through my case and two of the six packs have no Imperial stout but two stock ales. What can we do to fix this?

 

Called kuhnhenn, they have BA stout on tap and are hand bottling me two bottles and letting me keep the extra stock ale. Just went up a few points in my book. Thanks kuhnhenn.

This seems like a slippery slope... Want my four bbbw for your four bb4d? OK now, who's calling the brewery to get another four of each?(which they won't have) hopefully people are being honest with this and don't try to take advantage. Good on ya though Kuhnhenn for taking good care of your patrons!

 

Nah, not if ur honest. I could have said I was missing all four but I wasn't so I didn't. I've spent thousands there in the past few years and hang out there. I'm sure many who work there will recognize me.

 

I didn't mean you @jb123, I meant dishonest people who may try to take advantage of Kuhnhenn and their good will towards their patrons.

Unfortunately I didn't get bottles this year (showed up like 20mins to 11am), but was there yesterday and had the bbbw, bbis, and stock ale. Was really impressed with the stock ale, some tasty stuff!

 

No CBS at Ale Mary's but some good stuff for sure

 

Really enjoyed the barrel aged stout and the old stock ale. Michigan mud was also drinking really well at the party

 

Hey guys, I know they did a release last year after winter solstice for BB4D, sometime in March (maybe April) of 4 packs. Wonder if us locals will get the same privilege here this year to grab some bottles?

I wouldn't bank on this. All too often on this site, people will say, "Kuhnhenn did it last year, so it will probably happen this year", and generally it doesn't happen. I would keep an eye on facebook, generally they announce on there before any official announcements on BA.

 

Plus when does kuhnhenn owe locals?? No offense but wait in line like the rest of us idiots if you want the beer???
