Deschutes Anniversary - what to expect?

    I will arrive in Bend two days after the anniversary party next week. I saw the official announcements regarding this, but they don't give many details. For example, does anyone know if they will sell Black Butte XX-XXIV verticals (minus XXII), similar to what they do for the Abyss releases?

    At a minimum I'm hoping something interesting will still be on tap on the 29th, but it would be nice to come away with a few bottles too.

    If any BAs out there have some experience with the anniversary parties I would appreciate your insights.

    I would guess XXII-XXIV on tap and bottles of XXIII and XXIV. Maybe some Abyss or something else on tap. I had a 2010 Abyss on tap last night and it wasnt even listed. So, you never know. Bottles of XXIII are still piled at the Whoke Foods in Bend.

    Haven't been to the anniversary party in Bend, but the last couple years the taplist at Deschutes PDX the week of the party has roughly mirrored Bend. A different Reserve beer is offered each day so Monday-Dissident, Tuesday-Mirror Mirror, Wednesday-Jubel 2010, Thursday-Abyss, and Friday-vintage Black Butte anni. Just an example, I'm not sure what days corresponded to what. The new BBXXIV is on all week. I don't remember vintage Black Butte anni being for sale but honestly I'm not in the market for new bottles at the pub. Every grocery store in town has them two weeks later.

    Whaaaat? I was probably at the bar when you were.... The server guy told me there was no such thing (and maybe at the anniversary party)... Do you happen to know if it kicked yet (the 10 abyss)

    I have no idea. I ordered something else on the taster tray and he said it wasn't on, so he gave me some 2010 Abyss instead. After my tasters, I ordered another Abyss.
